Alma was born to Liberat and Christina 'Mahler' Vathroder on September 24, 1930 in Graceville, Minnesota. Alma grew up on the family farm north of Graceville. They moved to Wheaton in 1948. She worked at the Red Owl grocery store where she met Virgil, the love of her life. They were married on February 5, 1951 at Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton. Virgil and Alma lived and farmed in Traverse County. They moved into Wheaton in February, 1993. Alma enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, hardanger, artistic drawings/paintings, ceramics, and crafts. She looked forward to playing cards with family and friends. Alma is survived by her husband Virgil of Wheaton; sons: Paul (Sharon) Gaulrapp of Owatonna, MN; Mike (Lori) Gaulrapp of Breckenridge, MN; John (Janet) Gaulrapp of Little Falls, MN; one daughter Donna (Ralph) Brown of Clear Lake, MN; ten grandchildren: Randy Gaulrapp, Terry (Sara) Gaulrapp, Melissa Gaulrapp (Dean), James (Megan) Gaulrapp, Joel (Ashley) Gaulrapp, Chris Brown, Josh (Jenny) Bfown, Kelsey (Rocco) Guidarelli, Sondra Gaulrapp (Chris), Kendra (Andrew) Jipson; great-grandchildren: Adrianna, Riley, Addison, Megan, Nick, Jon, Lily, Finley, Hallie, Reed, Logan, Chelsey, Rocco Eli, Mia, Jaiden, Isabell and one on the way the end of September; great-great grandchild: Lily; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
