Fibras Naturales:

Tencel® es una fibra de celulosa de Lenzing que proviene de ár-

boles de Eucalipto de plantación sostenible certificada. La nanoestructura del Tencel®

ofrece un transporte, acumulación, expansión y secado de la humedad excepcional.

Tencel® es nuestra selección como fibra intermedia en los calcetines Trilayer® no

invernales, en los que mantiene el sudor alejado de la piel del deportista.

merino La lana de oveja Merino, por la mayor longitud (65-100 mm)

y el menor diámetro de sus fibras (menos de 24 micras), da como resultado un hilo

más suave y de rizo más fino que resulta más agradable en contacto con la piel. El

núcleo de la fibra es hidrófilo (retiene la humedad) y transpirable. Al ser una fibra que

calienta incluso húmeda, es la fibra intermedia en los calcetines Trilayer® Lorpen para

lante térmico artificial en prendas técnicas) que mezcla un 30% de fibras de Primaloft®

y un 70% de poliéster reciclado post-consumo. Resulta una fibra suave, térmicamente

aislante, hidrófoba que expulsa y no absorbe humedad, por lo que es la selección ideal

para Lorpen como capa interior de los calcetines Trilayer® para temperaturas frías.

Nylon/Poliamida: Fibra continua muy resistente que Lorpen utiliza selectiva-

mente en la capa exterior de los calcetines Trilayer® para proteger el calcetín de

The Lorpen selection for

Natural Fibres:

Tencel® is a cellulose Lenzing fibre which comes from Euca-

lyptus plants on certified sustainable plantations. Tencel®’s nano-structure provides

exceptional wicking, accumulation, expansion and drying of moisture. Tencel® is our

choice for the intermediate yarn in Trilayer® non-winter socks which keep perspira-

tion away from the athlete’s skin.

merino The longer (65-100 mm) and thinner (less than 24 microns) wool

from the Merino sheep produces a softer yarn with a finer rib which feels wonderful to

the touch. The core of the yarn is hydrophilous (retains moisture) and breathable. The

yarn provides warmth even when wet and is the intermediate layer in Lorpen Trilayer®

socks for cooler temperatures, wicking moisture away from the skin and keeping feet

warm.

Synthetic Fibres:

Coolmax® is a polyester yarn from Invista&Advansa with

channels to efficiently transport moisture away from the skin to the outside of the

sock. Lorpen uses it in non-winter Trilayer® socks for the internal layer in contact with

the skin; the hydrophobic properties of Coolmax® means it stays dry while expelling

moisture to the outer layer, keeping the athlete’s skin dry.

eco Polyester yarn developed by Primaloft® (world leader in artificial

thermal insulation in technical clothing) which combines 30% Primaloft® fibres with

70% recycled post-consumer polyester. The result is a soft, thermal insulated hydro-

phobic fibre which expels rather than absorbs moisture, making it the ideal choice for

the inner layer of Lorpen’s cold weather Trilayer® socks.

Nylon/Polyamide: Highly resistant continuous fibre that Lorpen uses selectively

in the outer layer of Trilayer® socks to protect them from friction with footwear, mini-

mizing wear, increasing durability and avoiding those dangerous abrasions which can

prevent athletes from enjoying activities to the full.

Otras fibras en calcetines Lorpen

Fibras Naturales:

Hilo muy suave y agradable utilizada en contacto con la piel

en alguno de los calcetines de esquí de Lorpen. Es una fibra natural formada por

proteínas que resulta muy cara de procesar.

Fibras Sintéticas:

Poliéster muy ligero de peso y de núcleo hueco desarrollado

por Invista/Advansa, cuya principal propiedad es retener en su interior el calor corpo-

ral y expulsar la humedad fuera de la piel por su cualidad hidrófoba.

Se trata de una fibra de polipropileno que lleva un tratamiento anti-

bacterial aplicado en su núcleo. Su principal propiedad es que seca a gran velocidad

ofreciendo una buena sensación térmica y de confort.

Fibra sintética muy conocida inventada por Dupont® y hoy en día

propiedad de la empresa Invista. La fibra Lycra® es un elastano con marca que da

mayor calidad y mayor elasticidad que otros elastanos sin marca. Escoger Lycra® y

utilizarlo de una forma especial es lo que da a los calcetines Lorpen esa adaptabilidad

tan reconocida.

Fibras mezcla íntima:

Mezcla de 50% fibra poliéster Primaloft® y 50% de fina Lana Me-

rino en el proceso de hilado, que aglutina en una sola fibra la capacidad de aislante

Other fibres in Lorpen socks

Natural Fibres:

Very soft and smooth yarn used in contact with the skin

in Lorpen’s ski socks. It is a natural fibre formed by proteins making it very costly to

process.

Synthetic Fibres:

Very lightweight polyester with hollow core developed by

Invista/Advansa®, whose key hydrophobic property retains body heat and expels

moisture away from the skin.

This polypropylene fibre contains an antibacterial additive in the core.

Its main property is that it is extremely fast-drying giving warmth and comfort.

Well-known synthetic fibre invented by Dupont® and now owned by

the Invista company. Lycra® fibre is a branded elastane with better elasticity than

other, unbranded elastanes. The choice of Lycra® and its specialized use is what gives

Lorpen socks their renowned adaptability.

Intimate fibre blend:

50% Primaloft® polyester fibre blended with 50% fine Merino wool

in the spinning process that fuses the thermal insulation capacity of synthetic fibre

with the softness and warming power of natural fibre into a single thread.
