Career Center Committee October 24, 2016 STATUS REPORTS
1) Office Space in Levy County a. The current office space lease expires next September. We have been looking for a
spot that is more visible and accessible to customers. As CF will be moving to their new campus soon we would like to consider space near the new location and to commercial areas. We have currently looked at a space on 19 by the Walmart Plaza that is owned by Capital City Bank. Board Member Becky Magwood represents the bank and therefore if this option were to be chosen, it would require a vote by the full board. If anyone has any other leads for viable space please let us know so we can investigate further.
2) One Stop Operator Solicitation Update a. Dale is drafting the language for the RFP b. We are working with other workforce areas so that we may gain some cost sharing
discounts. 3) Partners Status Attached 4) Targeted Sectors & Business Development Staff “Teams” Attached 5) Talent Center Portal and Website Demo Power Point Attached

MATTERS FROM THE FLOOR Eddie Sencer advised the committee that the DOL will no longer be funding Experience Works in our area. Beginning January 1, 2017 they will fund the following: Citrus County- National Caucus and Center on Black Aging Levy County- National Caucus and Center on Black Aging Marion County- National Urban League ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. APPROVED: _______________________________________
RECORD OF ACTION/APPROVAL
TOPIC/ISSUE: Lease Adjustment Enterprise Center BACKGROUND: We had continued our lease on 109 in the Enterprise Center through December 31 as we were uncertain how our staff and Talent Center space(college provided) would mesh. The 109 space is excessive for the two staff offices needed. In 107, the Foundation has two space options ( depending on the movement of other tenants). POINTS OF CONSIDERATION: This will reduce our lease costs and group our talent center team better.
STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: Request approval of both options subject to office being available. The second option with one currently occupied is preferred, both acceptable and should result in significant cost savings. COMMITTEE ACTION: Darlene Goddard made a motion to approve a new lease as recommended. David Benthusen seconded the motion. Motion Carried. BOARD ACTION:
