Rose Gums Wilderness Retreat is a one-of-a-kind experience
that you will remember long after returning home. This
multi award-winning retreat hosts nine unique timber
treehouses, nestled in the magnificent tropical highlands
of North Queensland, on 230 acres of private rainforest
bordering World-Heritage listed Wooroonooran National
Park. The property overlooks Mt Bartle Frere, Queensland’s
tallest peak with views no other retreat of its kind can
match. Every treehouse is surrounded by rainforest and are
over 100 metres apart to guarantee privacy.
Being an eco-friendly retreat, Rose Gums is dedicated to
preserving the delicate environment by reducing carbon
emissions, and since 1995 have planted over 20,000
high-carbon sequestration rainforest trees.
The management and staff continue to do their part
to further reduce carbon emissions on a daily basis by
endeavouring to reduce, reuse and recycle where possible.

sanctuary with over 160 bird species recorded, including the endangered Cassowary.
