How to enter:

1. Complete the official Entry Form (use a separate form for each Section).

2. Deliver the Exhibit to the Exhibition Marquee at Kerribee Park in person.

3. All exhibits for all sections to be delivered on Friday 12th July between 7:30am and 12 noon. Entries close at 12 noon. Late entries cannot be accepted. Judging begins at 1:30pm.

4. On arrival at the Marquee, register your Entries with the Stewards.

5. Attach your Exhibit Class Card so it is clearly visible. 6. Keep the relevant portion to collect your exhibit on Sunday

between 4pm and 5pm. 7. Read the conditions of entry to ensure that your exhibit

meets requirements. 8. $1 per entry to be capped at $10.00. 9. Chief Steward: Cindy Paton.

Section F: POT PLANTS & FLORAL ART

1. Exhibits will be sold or auctioned unless Stewards are notified when entering. Please indicate on the Entry Form if your entry is for sale.

2. Cut flowers must be grown by the Exhibitor or family. 3. Containers for cut flowers o be provided by the Exhibitor. 4. Pots, bowls, vases, jars etc. are the responsibility of the Exhibitor. 5. Pot plants must have been in the possession of the Exhibitor for at

least two months prior to exhibiting. 6. Flowers used in Floral Art may not necessarily be grown by the

Exhibitor. Materials may be bought or obtained from any source. No arrangement to exceed 60cms.

7. Those who enter sections that they partake in as a business activity must advise the Steward.

8. Judging in Floral Art will be carried out strictly to the Schedule & Standard of the Australian Floral Art Association Manual. Reference to this manual is available at Floral Magic

9. Floral Art Interpretive - Shall include natural fresh flowers and plant material (where relevant) and may include any dried, dyed or painted material, figurine or ornaments and such other material and accessories as are necessary in the portrayal of the theme. Horticulture materials must predominate over accessories.

Section H: HOME ECONOMICS

1. Exhibits will be sold or auctioned unless Stewards are notified when entering. Please indicate on the Entry Form if your entry is For Sale.

2. All exhibits must be homemade. 3. If required, cakes to be cut by the Judge, not Exhibitors. 4. All jams and preserves to shown in clean, tidy 200g - 500g screw top

jars, labels removed (including adhesive), tops painted or plain, not covered with cloth. Please loosen the lid when the exhibit is delivered, so the lid is not over-tightened.

5. Exhibits to be displayed on white paper plates of just sufficient size to hold the entry, covered with a clear plastic bag or clear cellophane bag, with twist-tie closure. Do not cover with glad wrap.

6. Exhibits must have the Exhibitor’s Name, Address, Section & Class Number affixed underneath or on the back of the exhibit, so it is readily visible to the Judge.

7. All fruit cakes to be displayed on cake boards. 8. For Novelty Cakes artificial ornaments are allowed. 9. Cakes - iced or icing - refers to any type of icings, frostings or toppings

with or without decoration - no cream based toppings or fillings. 10. Iced cakes section (traditional icing) - stamens, tulle, ribbons, baby's

breath and plastic pillars are allowed. The base board must be raised on cleats or runners. Dummy cake may be used. Covers would be appreciated to avoid damage etc.

11. Iced Cakes Novice Section is for exhibitors who have never won a prize in the Iced Cakes Section at the Mareeba Agricultural Show, and not have entered on more than 2 previous occasions

Section P: PHOTOGRAPHY

1. All work must be that of the Exhibitor (not necessarily processed/printed by the Exhibitor).

2. Entries open to amateurs and professional. Those who enter sections that they partake in as a business activities must enter the class titled "Professional".

3. Photocopies or laser copies will not be accepted, the entry must be a print.

4. Exhibits must have the Exhibitor’s Name, Address, Section & Class Number affixed underneath or on the back of the exhibit, so it is not readily visible to the Judge.

5. Prints must be mounted on black only cardboard, which extends no more than 3 cm outside the photograph, to allow exhibits to be fixed. Corrugated cardboard, ply board or core foam are not acceptable.

6. Maximum print size - 13 cm x 18 cm (5" x 7") unless otherwise specified.

7. Framed, glass-mounted or laminated works will not be accepted. 8. All prints must have name and address on the back of the exhibit.

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY – APPLIES TO ALL CLASSES

UNLESS SPECIFIED:

1. This Show is conducted subject to the rules of the Queensland

Chamber of Agricultural Societies, the constitution and rules of this

Association and any regulation which appears within the Schedule for

individual Sections of this Show. Should there be any conflict between

the rules of the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies, the

constitution and rules of this Association and the regulations appearing

in the Schedule, the constitution, rules and regulations appearing in the

Schedule of this Association shall prevail. 2. All persons entering any Class in this Schedule agree to indemnify the

Mareeba District Rodeo Association Inc. against liability for any

accident, damage, loss or illness to any Exhibit, Exhibitor or Competitor

and agree that all competitions are under the complete and total

control of the Mareeba District Rodeo Association Inc. whose decision

in all matters is final. 3. The Mareeba District Rodeo Association Inc.:

a. Will appoint a Chief Steward as its representative in all

matters. b. Will appoint a Head Steward to each Section to oversee that

Section. c. Will appoint Judges whose decision is final. d. Reserves the right to make any decisions, inclusions or

changes to this Schedule including Conditions of Entry without

further notice. 4. A Judge shall not have any information prior to or during judging other

than what is provided by the Mareeba District Rodeo Association Inc. 5. Entries will only be accepted on completion of the official entry form.

Please use a separate form for each Section. 6. No late entries will be accepted. Entries close at 12pm noon. 7. Entries will not be accepted over the phone or after the closing date. 8. Limit of 2 entries per Class, per person. 9. Stewards may alter the Class of the exhibit if they believe it may be to

the advantage of the entrant. 10. All exhibits in Junior Classes must include Date of Birth on the entry

form.

11. The exhibit must be completely the own work of the Exhibitor (unless

otherwise specified). 12. An exhibit is the actual article to be shown. 13. No exhibit may be entered into more than one Class. 14. Cleanliness of all exhibits is essential. 15. All exhibits must have been completed within the last two (2) years. 16. All exhibits must fit into the exhibit cages with no overhang so the

cages can be secured. Cage size: 2400L x 750W x 800H 17. The committee reserves the right to reject any exhibit or exhibits which

may be considered not of sufficient merit to be displayed. 18. It is the judge’s decision as to whether prizes are awarded in a Section

or a Class. If in the opinion of the judge, no entry is worthy of a prize

then no prize will be awarded. All Exhibitors must abide by the Judge's

decision. Judges decisions are not subject to appeal or protest. 19. No free passes are available to Exhibitors. 20. The Marquee will be closed during judging. Only Judges and Stewards

to be present while judging takes place. 21. The Marquee will be open from 9am to 6pm on Saturday and 9am

to 2.30pm on Sunday. 22. Exhibition of all entries is not guaranteed, but every effort will be made

to do so. 23. Exhibits will only be available for collection from 4pm-5pm on

Sunday 14 July 2019 from the Marquee, or from Tuesday 16 July

2019 from the Rodeo Office. 24. Exhibits will not be returned by mail. All exhibits must be collected

by 26 July 2019 or the exhibit becomes the property of the Mareeba

District Rodeo Association Inc. 25. All Exhibitors cannot remove their work without presenting their exhibit

card to a Steward. 26. Exhibit Card (collection portion) is required to collect prizemoney. 27. Whilst the Mareeba District Rodeo Association Inc. accepts no

responsibility for missing or damaged articles, all possible care will be

taken with exhibits.
