The Cover

How?◦ The cover features a relatively popular, young

actress in a glamour shot.

◦ The side captions tell about the stories that are inside. These include fall fashion trends, celebrity diets, easy ways to get sexy hair, and a tell-all interview with the featured actress.

How does the cover attract readers?

Why?◦ Most women follow fashion trends and update

their make-up looks to keep looking fresh and modern.

◦ They call the diets crazy on the cover but still talk about each one in the magazine.

◦ This may lead women to try them because the diets have obviously worked for the rich, famous, super-skinny, glamorous Hollywood icons that use them.

Why does the cover attract readers?

“Judging by the number of size 0s in Hollywood, these weird restrictions can work.”

The diets include: Apple-Cider Vinegar Diet, The Air Diet, The Baby Food Diet. etc.
