SBDC CORPORATE AFFILIATES

AMG Contractors, LLC. is a minority owned, 8(a) and HUBZone certified full-service general construction company owned by Andrew Garza III. AMG Contractors was started in 2000 with only two employees and now employs thirteen full time employees. Some of the most recent successful completed projects include the construction of the Operation Readiness Training Complex at Fort Hood and the renovation of Building 905 at Fort Sam Houston.

To assist with maximizing the company’s efforts with getting government contracts, AMG contacted the UTSA SBDC-PTAC. SBDC Business Advisor Eloy Garcia was able to provide AMG with timely assistance ensuring that their SAM registration was accurately updated, and reviewed the company’s other business certifications to determine which needed to be renewed to ensure maximum opportunity with federal, state, and local government contracts

With the help of the SBDC-PTAC networking resource tools, Eloy Garcia is currently assisting AMG Contractors with expanding their market share of contracts by identifying new government bids that the company can take additional advantage of.
