Scollegamento dell’alimentazione.

2. Make applicable wiring connections in accordancewith Connecting Line Power, Connecting BiphaseSignal Cable, Connecting RS-232 Signal Cable, andConnecting Video Cable (PHOTO 14 throughPHOTO 17).

Photo 14: Connector Installation

4.6.1 Connecting Line Power (See Wiring Chart)Make power line connections to Power Connection asfollows:

1. Unplug the connector from the backbox.

2. Connect the 24 VAC wires to the appropriateterminals on the connector (PHOTO 15) using aflat-bladed screwdriver.

4.6.2 Connecting Biphase Signal CodeNot applicable if data input is via RS-232 (seeSECTION 4.6.3).

1. Unplug the connector from the backbox.

2. Identify the (+) phase, (-) phase and GND wires.Use only twisted, sheilded pair, Belden 8760 orequivelent.

3. Connect the plus phase to the C+ terminal, theminus phase to the C– terminal, and the shieldingground of the cable to the GND terminal using aflat-bladed screwdriver, (see PHOTO 15). TheBiphase shield should be grounded at one end only. The recommended connection is at the signalsource.

4. Route and connect the biphase connector as shownin PHOTO 16.

Photo 16: Connector Locations

5. Daisy Chain wiring: Connect the (+) of each of thecables by inserting them both into the C+ terminalon the terminal block. Connect the (-) of each of thecables by inserting them both into the C- terminalon the terminal block. Connect the GND of each ofthe cables in a similar manner. A 110 OHMRESISTOR MUST BE CONNECTEDBETWEEN THE BIPHASE (+) AND (-)TERMINALS ON THE LAST CAMERA.

4.6.3 Connecting the RS-232 Signal CableNot applicable if data input is via Biphase (seeSECTION 4.6.2).

1. Unplug the connector (PHOTO 16) from thebackbox.

2. Identify the RxD phase, TxD phase, and GNDwires.

3. Connect the RxD phase to the RXD terminal, theTxD phase to the TXD terminal, and the signalground to GND terminal marked GND using a flat-bladed screwdriver. Note that the shield of thecable should be left unconnected.

4. Route and connect the RS-232 connector as shownin PHOTO 16.

4.6.4 Connecting Video CableRoute and connect video cable to BNC connector(PHOTO 16).

NOTE: Push all excess cable through the conduitfitting or strain relief bushing. This will ensure thatexcess wire in the backbox will not interfere with theproper insertion of the camera module.

4.6.5 EMI/RFI Interference ProtectionFor added protection from ElectromagneticInterference (EMI) or Radio Frequency Interference(RFI), snap the provided ferrite around the powercable as close to the control connector as possible(PHOTO 17). This can be outside the backbox ifnecessary due to space constraints.

5MAINTENANCE/COMPONENTREPLACEMENTNo special maintenance is required.

Occasionally dust may accumulate inside the housingand coat the transparent dome/trim ring. In this case, power the unit off and remove the dome so that it isaway from the camera. While using proper eyeprotection, clean the dome by using clean compressedair from a spray can, and microwave safe paper towels, and reseat the dome.

CAUTION: Do not remove camera frompan/tilt. Remove the entire receiver/driver,pan/tilt, and camera assembly from theAutoDome system to prevent damage to theflexible cable and connector.
