Setting Up System Database

CMS needs a System Database to Store the Information about the User, Groups and other Objects etc.,

By default while Installing Business Object a MYSQL database is automatically created.

If you want to use a different database the following steps has to be carried out before starting the Installation Process• Create a Empty Database in the Database Sever and a User Account

• The CMS has to hold such as the User, Groups and other object detail by writing it to System database as and when they are created/removed in the Business Objects Enterprise.

• Hence the User Account that has write Privilege on the database will be used by the CMS to write all the details to the System Database

• Verify that you can log on to your database and carry out administrative tasks using the account you set up for use by the CMS.
