Dare to be yourself
Many theories have been put forward to explain the potential magnitude of the coming transitions that are
set to change the world as we know it in the year 2012; whether we believe our physical world will cease to
exist or that our level of consciousness as human beings, will be propelled forward, to move us closer to a
deeper understanding of our universe . Whichever stance one takes, it is undoubtedly clear that changes
are imminent. It is even clearer that we as women have an extensive role to play. This sense of pushing and
pulling of the Universe, is becoming a sure and urgent sign, that women must take their rightful place in
the world of global transformation, through designing their own paths towards success.
The female point of view is being acknowledged on international stages from organisations such as WEDO;
fighting for the inclusion of the female perspectives on climate change policies, to London ‘s 2012 Olympic
push for the prominence of women's sports such as women's cycling & female boxing. Overall ,there is a
yearning; a calling for you and me to open up and fully participate into this new decade gearing up to 2012.
To actively take part in these changes, we must truly find our passion as individuals and use our gender
characteristics such as Love, compassion, forgiveness and lateral thinking. Acknowledging our essence and
our innate use of ‘soft’ powers can truly effect deep, cultural changes in response to challenges we cur-
rently face worldwide. This use of soft power offer dynamism, flexibility, inclusion and is transformative
and supportive of change without excessive force or destruction so familiar to our current realities.
For 2010 there is a resonance of pledges everywhere for women to step up, to take centre stage and take
leadership roles. As individuals we needn't do much, find that strength and hope within.. live in it. For this
year, I dare you...BE YOURSELF Zesanatt Pequeno

really are doing it for themselves’.
Organisations around the globe are
working together towards a female
friendly future for all women, eve-
rywhere.
Just such an organisation is WOM-
ANKIND Worldwide. Based in the
UK, this registered charity helps
women in developing countries -
silenced or isolated by harmful
traditions, conflict, violence and
intimidation or the sheer exhaus-
tion of surviving in poverty - to
have a distinctive say in what goes
on in their family, community and
country.
From raising awareness to raising
money – if you want to contribute

The Billionaire _tw|xá VÄâu Monthly Journal for 21st Century Women
ISSUE 02 /January 2010
Feature - Country Profile : India
What does it mean to be a 21st cen-
tury woman? For me, the words
heart and femininity come up.
I’m in India at the moment, where
women seem to embody these two
qualities. They are ‘soft’ women:
flowing dresses, long, healthy hair,
adorning themselves in jewellery.
They are brought up with depictions
of women as goddesses.
Yet at the same time they are strong
- they work - very often physical work
- doing what’s needed, supporting
the family, nurturing, teaching, rais-
ing their children and supporting
their husband.
Visiting India is always a heart jour-
ney for me - the vibrancy & warmth
of the people, the colours of the
places - and it’s actually where I
started reconnecting with my heart
and recapturing my femininity. I had,
like many women in the West, sup-
pressed my feminine energies in try-
ing to be ‘one of the boys’, to a de-
gree where I was competing with
them - for jobs as much as anything
else. After spending time in India,
meditating in robes with beautiful,
feminine women, I began to tap into
that part of my identity and being
again.
Recently, I have had the good fortune
to meet a lot of incredibly motivat-
ing, inspirational women and one
thing that has really struck me is how
absolutely feminine they all are. We
seem to have gone through the mas-
culinisation era and have come out
the other end realising that we don’t
have to change ourselves to be suc-
cessful in business and life, we can
come from our authentic, female
space and it doesn’t weaken our
message or vision, it adds power to it.
It is a strength. In being feminine and
speaking and acting from the heart -
which is one of our greatest natural
abilities, in friendship and in business
- we are coming from an open and
honest place where positive results
seem to be magnified.
I am meeting women from all over
the world who fit right into this cate-
gory - they are very much in their
own power. You can tell them
straight away, it’s the feeling you get
from being in their presence. Put
yourself in the space of being in your
own power: there’s a nurturing qual-
ity about you, a self-assuredness peo-
ple are drawn to & a self-worth
which surrounds you. It is magnetic
and people feel the benefit of being
in your company. It is a totally non-
competitive energy.
When you’re coming from your
heart, you shine and spread your
warmth and light to all around you.
To me, this is what being a 21st cen-
tury woman is all about. It is a man-
ner. It is a way of being - both with
yourself and with others. It is remain-
ing in your feminine qualities,
strength and power, sharing and sup-
port, to positively influence the lives
of those around you. Demonstrating
these qualities and empowering
other women to want to take them
on.
This is where some of our greatest
strengths as women lie, to impact
and make a difference in our commu-
nities and globally.

Precious Water Goes
Down Our Drains
Following on from last months climate
news about ‘blue gold’ and the worry-
ing possibility of underground water
aquifers running dry, to add insult to
injury it is perhaps even more alarming
to hear that almost a third of the
worlds precious drinking water is lost
through ‘leakage’ before it reaches the
consumer.
It is estimated that $18 billion of clean
drinkable water is lost worldwide per
year, even though methods and tech-
nologies for significantly reducing this
loss are already available. In visual
terms this is the equivalent to 3,600
Olympic sized swimming pools a day!
Step in, Miya. This company is part of
The Arison Group, a global investment
and philanthropy organisation, head-
quartered in Israel. These industry
experts believe it is an environmental
obligation to address water loss and
that we will face crisis if this issue is not
resolved within 15 years.
Miya is the first global player to offer a
comprehensive water efficiency solu-
tion and a one-stop-shop for water loss
projects. With its team of world lead-
ing experts, Miya will work with utility
companies using water efficiency
strategies, and water loss management
to tackle areas such as leak detection,
control and repair.
Given demographic and economic
trends, it is estimated that the world
will need 40 per cent more water by
2025. Miya’s experts agree that reduc-
ing water loss is the best and the most
cost-effective solution to increasing
water supply.
By offering expertise and know-how, as
well as unparalleled range of services,
including effective financial solutions,
Miya will enable many cities around
the world to address the growing prob-
lems with their water systems.

Blog To Go – Happy New Decade Well, what a Year!
2009 took us all through a journey, didn’t
it? And what a journey it was. Just as we
thought that we got it all sussed out, the
recession hit and we all had to readjust our
seat belts and think of another journey for
the coming future. Many people may feel
2009 was a year they would like to forget,
but I am inclined to feel that it was an im-
portant foundation year of learning.
The preparations we all went through in
the first decade of this century was a glori-
ous insight in to what can be achieved in
the future—good and bad. If we take note
on what was being said, intellectually,
spiritually and environmentally, It is my
belief, that this next decade will be a dec-
ade of action.
Talking about action, have you decided
what you want to achieve by the turn of
the next decade which begins with the
year 2020? Yes I know it is 10 years away
but didn’t the last ten years seem to go by
with the blink of an eye? If we really think
about it, all that you want to achieve in the
next ten years is sitting with you now. The
resources, the information, the contact,
the know-how and the drive to make it
happen. You don’t need anything else. Oh,
actually, yes you do. You need to take ac-
tion. Yes, I know we have all heard and said
this before, but isn’t it really time that we
listened to this short two word sentence
and actually DID it? TAKE ACTION.
Tonight before you go to sleep, why not
challenge yourself and make something
happen to it’s completion tomorrow. For
an example challenge yourself to write
2000 words of your book or pay off £50
extra on one of your lingering bills or offer
to mentor someone for free next month and
make that appointment. We all know that it
is the little steps that create the momentum
towards freedom and it is that freedom that
leads us toward a lifestyle beyond our wild-
est imaginations.
Tomorrow, I shall start creating a system for
my book the Human Upgrade. Watch this
space and we will see how it grows by the
end of the year. Happy New Decade. NS
EYE ON IT
Current Trends for MSI
It seems like it will be all the rage
this next decade...
The rise of the homepreneur is a
long-term trend that will continue
to accelerate over the next dec-
ade. Fuelled by technology and
enabled by low costs, businesses
of all kinds are finding there is no
place like home.
The trick is to find a system that
brings in passive income whilst
you are doing the very thing that
you love.
The Riches of Asian Women
Asian women including female entre-
preneurs from India are generating
more wealth than women in any other
region of the world even as their afflu-
ence and influence grows globally, a
recent study indicated.
The report published by Barclays
Wealth, said, “the affluence and influ-
ence of women is growing globally and
is increasingly fuelled by their own
individual enterprises - highlighting
that the perception of inheritance and
marriage as the lead sources of female
wealth is outdated .”
Taking a slightly different slant into female funding, here in the UK, ROSA, The UK
Funding for Women and Girls, offers financial support and funding for a range of pro-
jects that help achieve equality and justice for females. Rosa’s vision is that of equality
and justice and while many women do enjoy great freedom and success, that’s simply
not true for all women.
Although not short of ideas to help create change, women and girls are often short of
the money they need to turn those ideas into reality. Working together, leaders from
women’s organisations, businesses, government and the media came together to find
a solution to this problem. Recognising that projects in the UK dedicated to women
needed greater recognition and financial support, Rosa – a registered charity, champi-
oning the work of women’s projects, was launched in June 2008.
