Message from Faith Contreras IBA Board Chairperson

Welcome to the 35th Annual IBA Conference in Irving, Texas! IBA, our host agency Irving Police Department and NEC have worked hard to provide you with a great program and safe conference. Message from Raffie Beroukhim Senior Vice President and CXO, NEC

On behalf of NEC and the IBA Board, it’s with great pleasure to welcome you to the 35th Annual IBA User Conference in Irving, Texas. The theme of this year’s conference, “Blazing Trails in Biometrics and Digital Identity,” was inspired by the Mustangs of Las Colinas, a sculpture of nine bronze mustangs galloping across a granite prairie stream. The sculpture was created to capture the free spirt embodied in the heritage of Texas. Similarly, Irving is home to NEC’s North American headquarters. NEC is proud to be the premier provider of Multi-modal Biometrics Identification Solutions (MBIS) to the state and local law enforcement community in the United States. This week we will share our latest roadmap and technology advances that enable you to even better ‘serve and protect’ our communities with solutions such as, Rapid DNA collection with Livescan, Mobile WAY using the NEC Digital Platform, Integra-ID® and NeoFace® Reveal. Finally, I cannot emphasize enough, that your health and safety are important to us. Please take note that masks, hand sanitizer and gloves will be provided for all conference attendees. As we spend the next few days together, I ask that you please social distance in and around the conference. I would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to the IBA Board and our host agency and customer — Irving Police Department — for their tireless efforts in organizing the conference. NEC is proud to be your technology partner and our team is excited to spend the next couple of days together in-person with all of you! Enjoy the conference and welcome to Texas! Raffie

Keynote Speaker Mr. C.K. Redlinger Life Adventurer and Storyteller Monday, September 13 8:30 am – 9:30 am Keynote - Thriving in Chaos: A Roadmap for Escaping Mental Captivity

An inspirational, and often humorous, journey, CK extrapolates vital lessons and methods from 30+ years of adventures using his personal formula for enduring adversity, calamity and tragedy. He weaves those lessons into an easy to follow process for programming oneself to navigate the chaos of everyday life and escape mental captivity.

1:30pm – 2:30pm General Session - Cultivate a Mindset for Adversity

C.K. explores the rituals and programming associated with building mental strength. Case studies include the sinking of the U.S.S. Juneau, where his uncle was one of only 10 survivors after 8 days at sea, and his personal tales of adversity, like the Battle of Al Amarah, the Active Shooter attack on his training program and other deadly encounters. Hear about his experiences as a U.S. Marines Assault Team Leader, Homicide Detective, S.W.A.T. Sniper and Global Terrorism Contractor. C.K. has worked hundreds of murder cases to surviving deadly encounters, both in the U.S. and abroad and has accumulated a treasure chest of valuable lessons and experiences.
