Guests/Non-Members: High Holy Days information is available (including child care, if needed) on the new BK website. There is no charge to attend services, but we ask that you reserve in advance. Additionally, a contribution is encouraged so we may continue to invite the community to join us in the future.

S’LICHOT SERVICE Saturday, August 31 from 6 pm to 7:30. S’lichot is a unique experience on the Jewish calendar. It helps prepare one’s spirit for the upcoming High Holy Days. Hearing the shofar in the still of the night is an experience not to be missed. S’lichot is on the highly recommended list for those experiencing the Holy Days for the first time.

BIKE WITH BK ON THE HAZON NY RIDE Labor Day Weekend August 30 – September 2. Cycle with Team BK on Hazon’s NY Ride this Labor Day Weekend. Cycle through the Berkshires and finish in NYC. Enjoy an incredible Shabbat retreat. Team BK members get a discounted registration fee of $150. Fundraise in support of environmental sustainability projects for the Jewish community and the world. HELP THE RECONSTRUCTIONIST RABBINICAL COLLEGE (RRC) SEARCH FOR A NEW PRESIDENT The RRC search committee has asked Bnai Keshet to circulate the following job description widely, in the belief that as key stakeholders in the Reconstructionist movement, we can provide leads to many qualified candidates: The movement is seeking a visionary leader to head our restructured organization. The new president will lead and manage the organization, provide leadership for the communities and individuals affiliated with Reconstructionist Judaism, and head outreach to other Jewish and progressive audiences. In addition, he or she will support and strengthen the rabbinical training program in its commitment to both rigorous academics and spiritual and practical wisdom. JCC BOOK GROUP Monthly meetings on Thursdays at 7:30 pm at JCC West Orange. Coming up in the fall, immerse yourself in the world of Iraqi Jews. In October, November, and December, two novels and one memoir will be read about Jewish Iraqis, in settings ranging from World War II‑era Iraq to modern‑day New York City.
