Wall Journal:
A Wall Journal on CHRISTMAS was put up by the children of clas-
ses ID & IE. The board showcased the wish list of each child from
Santa.
Educational Trip-The students of classes 3,4 and 5 went to
Humayun’s Tomb to gain an
insight into the rich historical
heritage of India.
Special Assembly-
Class 3B put up a special assembly on ‘Small Industries–
India’s Economic Backbone. The assembly showcased the
importance of small and cottage industries in the economical growth of our
country.
’Choosing the Right Path’, class 3A put up an assembly to spread the mes-
sage that one should always think before taking an action.
A special assembly on ‘World Disabled Day’ was presented by class 4G.
Activities-
Maths Days were observed from 19th Dec to 21st Dec. The children participated in a quiz, learnt
how to make different educational geometrical shapes and also demonstrated the use of Vedic
Math is every day life.
Inter House Folk Dance competition– Annapurna House was the winner, followed by Nilgiri
House and Aravali House in the second and third positions.
Classed 4 and 5 participated in a Carol Singing Competition. Classes 4E and 5D were declared the
winners.
CLASSES III, IV & V
Workshops:
For Students:
Workshops-The Korean Cultural Centre, Korean Embassy in collaboration with the theatre group
ASSITEJ conducted a story narration session on the Korean Folk Tales-’Tell a Tale’ - Korea.
As per the guidelines of the Directorate of Education regarding sensitizing the students about the
Measles– Rubella campaign to be observed across Delhi and NCR, the students of classes 3, 4 and 5
attended session where they were informed about the importance of the vaccination.
The students of classes 3,4 and 5 enjoyed meeting and interacting with Ms. Vaijayanti Savant Tonpe,
author of children 's books during the, 'Meet The Author ' programme.
For Parents:
Workshop for parents of classes I and II on “Importance of Inculcating Reading Habit in Children”.
Ms. Indrani Gupta, the guest speaker guided all present, through useful tips to help create a reading
interest in the new generation.
A workshop on 'Good Parenting’ was organised for the parents of classes 3, 4,&5. The resource per-
son was Ms.Riti Jain, ex-counsellor BVN Junior School.
For Teachers:
Ms. Shalu Gupta, computer teacher attended a MIE Expert workshop 2018 conducted by Microsoft
In Education Edu Days.
Computers Teachers Ms. Shalu Gupta, Ms. Arvinder Kaur and Ms. S. Saraswathi attended a Google
CS First workshop in SD Public School Punjabi Bagh by Ms. Poornima Agarwal.
Achievements-
A team of students from classes 4 and 5 participated in an Inter School
Folk Tale presentation at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya.
At the 15th Junior Flash Computer Competition held at Raghuveer Singh
Junior Modern School our students won many prizes
Tejash III C and Aarush III D third position in MSW Logo
Rohan Rathee V G third position in MS paint
Ananya Bhattartripad good effort prize in MS Publisher
Chrysalis– An Evolution
The Junior School Annual Cultural Fiesta was held on 1st Dec ‘18. The theme of the
event was how technology has changed our lives. The Chief Guest, ace shooter
Mr. Ronjan Sodhi appreciated the efforts of the 1700 students who participated in this
mega event.
