Talent Show
The students showcased their
talent and creativity through a gamut of activities
like Rangoli, Origami, Fireless Cooking, Vocal &
Instrumental Music etc.
Special Assembly: Health is Wealth
The importance of eating right and staying healthy was
presented by the students of classes 1D & 1E through a
play ‘Eat Healthy Live Healthy’.
Culinary Week
Exhibition of kitchen tools and food items cooked in various ways i.e. frying, boiling, steaming etc.
was put up for the children to know. The students prepared lemonade and wrote down the steps as a
part of the ‘Recipe Writing’ activity.

Classes I & II
Festival of flavors– The students dressed up in traditional costumes and spoke about the cuisine, festivals, flora & fauna and the capital of the state they represented. Parents too participated in the event by bringing dishes of different states for the students to taste & rel-ish.

The theme of World Food Day –2019 ‘Our actions are our future’ was depicted through illustrations and nutritional facts of
various food items.
Learning Beyond The Text
• Experiential learning– As a part of the topic ’ Plant Life’ , students collected fallen leaves to study the differ-
ent leaf patterns.
• Math Lab Activity–
Construction of 3 digit numbers using Dienes blocks.

Gymnastic Competition
An Intra section Gymnastic Competition was held, wherein the students
demonstrated their agility, flexibility and balancing skills.
Craft Activities
• Beautiful candles and greeting cards were made from corrugated sheets, thereby
promoting ‘Green Diwali’
• To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the students
made a spinning wheel and the 3 wise monkeys using various craft items
Green Diwali: To create awareness amongst students and celebrate a
clean & green Diwali, group discussions were held in the class
followed by a poster making activity.
• The students of class V F presented a special assembly on, ‘The United Nations’, emphasizing upon its functions .
The students of class V visited the Parlia-
ment House to learn about the seat of Indian
power and its functions .
Outreach Programme (Diwali Charity): Values like charity need to be fostered among children from a very young age. During the festive season, the students of BVN Junior School, donated essential commod-ities for the under privileged at 3 NGO's namely Tript Roti bank, Mann Ka Tilak (old age home) and Cheshire Home, Okhla
• The students of class IV E presented a special assembly on "Peace and Non-violence". They delivered the message of peace propagated by the world leaders and pledged to maintain peace within the school, other communities and nature.
114 students of class V along with 11 teachers went on a two nights and three day’s educational trip to Sariska and Alwar in Rajasthan. They experienced and learned a lot of things vide various activities. A visit to the museum, Cenotaph of Moosi Rani, Siliserh Lake and the observatory enabled them to
have a glimpse of history and its artifacts.

English Days were observed wherein the students participated in various activiites
such as : word building, story mapping , complete the story, one minute speeches and
an Inter House quiz.
For students:
• Workshop for the students of class IV on Dental Care was conducted by our
alumnus, Dr. Tanupriya Jain. Food for healthy teeth, brushing techniques and
dental hygiene were discussed.
• An informative and interactive workshop on 'Spell-O-Fun' was conducted by Ms. Jaishree Mehta from TOI. The students of classes IV and V were ap-prised about the common errors made while writing English spellings.
• The students of classes IV and V participated in a ‘Helicopter Making Work-
shop' organized by Scientific Development and Research Organization
(SDRO Labs). The workshop was an initiative to help young learners under-
stand the science behind aviation and the control system of a helicopter.
