PHASE 16""

16" section will be drilled from 150 meters to the 13 3/8" casing point of 501 meters. The section will be drilled using 9 5/8" Motor BHA with GyroMWD tool. The main aim of the section is to nudge away in southern direction to move away from the offset wells.

The proposed flow rate for this phase of the section is 3600 lpm (950 gpm). However, due to hole size, flow rate is below the ctritical transport rate and extra measures like pumping viscous sweeps or extra circulation may help hole cleaning. The bit has 3x20 and 1x18 nozzles and has 1.44 HSI.

For motor, a 1.5 degree bent motor is propsed to be able to rotate the motor at the curve sections which will help cleaning the hole. The bent rate will also beneficial to achieve the relatively high DLS in the soft top hole section.

Flow rate specification of tools in this BHA are: A965 PowerPak motor : 600 - 1200 gpm Gyro MWD : max 1000 gpm

PHASE 12""

12" section will be drilled from 501 meters to the 9 5/8" casing point of 1171 meters. The section will be drilled using 8 1/4" Motor BHA with PowerPulse. The main aim of the section is to build angle to 44 degrees and turn to azimuth of 101.5 degrees.

The proposed flow rate for this phase of the section is 2900 lpm (760 gpm). However, due to hole size, flow rate is below the ctritical transport rate and extra measures like pumping viscous sweeps or extra circulation may help hole cleaning. The bit has 3x22 nozzles and has 1.66 HSI.

For motor, a 1.5 degree bent motor is propsed to be able to rotate the motor at the curve sections which will help cleaning the hole. The bent rate will also beneficial to achieve the relatively high DLS in the soft top hole section. With current BHA configuration and 9 tonnes WOB (rotating), the jar will be in tension and approximately 20 meters away. Neutral point will be close to the jar between 9 and 12 tonnes of WOB.

While sliding with 6 tonnes WOB, neutral will be approximately 30 meters away from the jar and jar will be in tension. Neutral point will be close to the jar between 7 and 9 tonnes of WOB

PHASE 8 1/2 x 9 1/8""

8 1/2" x 9 1/8" section will be drilled from 9 5/8" casing shoe to the 7" casing point of 2363 meters. The aim of the section is to drill tangent until KOP of 1850 MD and build and turn with 2.7 DLS to 73.45 degrees. A PowerDrive +ARC+TeleScope assembly will be used for the section. Hole will be opened using underreamer while drilling.

The calculated flow rate for the section is 2082 lpm (550 gpm). At this rate good hole cleaning will be achieved. 4x12 + 1x13 nozzles are used to achieve the required 600 to 800 psi for PowerDrive tool. In case the flow rate and/or mud properties change, nozzles might need to be changed for proper working of the PowerDrive tool.

For the simulation, 5 tonnes WOB used and neutral point about 30 meters above the jar which is in compression. Neutral point will be in the vicinity of the jar between 3 to 5 tonnes. Flow limits of the tools are: PowerDrive 675 RSS : 400 - 800 gpm ARC Vision : max. 800 gpm TeleScope : 275 - 800 gpm

PHASE 6"

6" section will be drilled from 7" casing point to TD. PowerDrive+ImPulse assembly will be used to drill to the target. It is possible to have minimal directiol work if the markers are shallower or deeper than expected.

BHA consists of PowerDrive 475 RSS and ImPulse MWD tool. The calculated flow rate for the section is 1000 lpm (270 gpm) which is below the critical rate due to surface pressure limitation limits flow available. It should be noted that the bit pressure drop should be between 600 and 800 psi. To reach this requirement, 3x12 nozzles used on the bit. In case flow rates and/or mud weights change, nozzle sizes should be recalculated. Flow limits of the tools are: PowerDrive 475 RSS : 220 - 310 gpm ImPulse : 200 - 400 gpm

ANTICOLLISION

LV04 well will be drilled from a slot on the south side of the platform and once the well nudges away from the rig, it also moves away from the offset wells. The anticollision risk is mainly on the surface section. 828 well is 2.5 meters away at the surface and 570 meters of the well was not surveyed at the surface. Due to the missing surveys, positional uncertainty of the well creates risk. Close wells and their distance to LV04 well plan is as follows:

It is required by Schlumberger Anti-Collision standart that all these offset wells should be gyro surveyed to minimize the uncertainty and the risk. Especially the positional uncertainty of 828 well is creating high risk. As a secondary prevention measure, using a deviated casing shoe at the surface to nudge away from the platform will also helps the anticollison situation.

Once the well is nudged away, LV04 crosses 812 and IV02 wells but there is no A/C issue due to TVD difference.
