1. Open the 344 pegas folder on the desktop by double clicking.

2. Select the part type (double click). Example: housing; rail; end cap.

3. Select Part Number (Double click)

4. Select “.STP” file

5. Click file

1. Verify part Number and Work Order quantity per Work Order.

a. Make sure you have a set up sheet and Blue print.

2. Locate tooling per set up sheet

a. Check both tooling boards

b. Check the Tooling cabinet

c. Borrow additional tooling from the Turrets in the fab department

3. Verify tool Angles and location to set up sheet

a. Mark any tools in a different set up sheet to edit to

4. Put turret in “Manual Mode” (turn Mode Select all the way right then 1 click to left).

5. Turn tool change switch to “ON”

6. Flip Index pin switch to “OUT”

7. Open upper “Tool Change Door”

8. Press the Pin Switch in.

9. Use the “Turret On” buttons to spin the turret left or right to the desired station.

a. Station numbers stamped on top of turret.

10. Remove un-needed tool (if applicable); and install proper tool

a. Be wary of tool angle; and remember that 0 for a standard punch and 0 for a special tool are 90 opposed to each other.

11. Repeat as needed to set all tools in turret double-checking that none of your tools are crossed.

1. Start the Machine talk Program.a. The Ms talk program on the desktop

Double click the “Machine Talk” icon.

This is the main machine talk screen

2. Select the send NC file button off of the main screen.

3. On the next screen select either Pega 1 or Pega 2

4. Once one of the machines is selected the “Add File” button will become active. Click the control to use it.

5. When the “Add File” Button is clicked it will open a file open box. Click the “Browse” button.

6. Press the down arrow in the browse box

7. Select “344 programs” folder

8. Select correct Pega (1 or 2)

9. Select part Number

10. Select “.GCD” file (Double click)

11. Press “READ” button on turret

12. Click “SEND FILE”
