Proper skin care can make a big difference in the way the skin looks and the way the

client feels about their appearance.

It is very rewarding to be able to help people relax, improve their appearance and feel

better about themselves.

Skin Analysis & Consultation

Skin analysis is very important part of the facial treatment because it determines what type of skin the client has, the condition of

the skin and what type of treatment the client's skin needs.

A condition the client has or treatment the client is undergoing that might cause a negative side

effect during a facial treatment:

Health ScreeningOn the client consultation card is a section devoted to determining a contraindication. A contraindication is a condition the client has or a treatment the client is undergoing that might have a negative side effect during the facial treatment. Allergic to FragranceRetin-A (Skin exfoliation)Tazorac (Skin exfoliation)Accutane (Causes thinning of the skin)Pacemaker (Avoid electric treatments)Open sores, fever blisters etc. Pregnancy

Skin TypesOily-Over production of oil, large pores, shiny

Dry-Lack of sebum, pores very small,

Normal-Even pore distribution, soft smooth

Combination-T-zone usually is oily, cheeks dry

Acne Prone-Presence of red papules & pustules, comedones, clogged pores

Skin ConditionsDehydrated: Flaky areas, skin that wrinkles easily,

can be caused by lack of skin care, sun damage or inappropriate skin products

Hyperpigmentation: Dark patches of color, usually caused by sun exposure, hormone imbalances

Sensitive: Rosacea- chronic hereditary disorder; Couperose-dilated capillaries

Aging Skin: Loss of elasticity, skin sags & wrinklesSun Damage: Chronically exposed to sun, wrinkles,

sags, skin is dehydrated and has hyperpigmentation
