  • HyperSoul hails from Manila, Philippines and consists of 8 members; 4 singers and 4 musicians. The 4 singers are Stephanie Ruth Pasumbal, J.C. Dames, Shovy Carcamo and Alluri Percil whereas Ajie Francisco plays the guitar, Sherwin Baluyot on drums, Jay Sanchez on the keyboard and Jimmy A. Gacutan on the bass. The 4 singers, 3 females and 1 male, are great at harmonization. All 4 singers have great vocal range and produce much energy into their dance moves for their live shows, making them both sight and sound. They also co-ordinate their outfits well.

Even though they dont really gain much attention as the singers captivate most of the audiences attention with their energetic performances, the musicians are really talented. They hold the band together with their musical workmanship and keeps the dance floor crowded.HyperSoul covers mostly chart topper hits

HyperSoul - B.E.Ds new resident band

and theyre also fond of spicing up Taylor Swifts numbers. They infuse their own unique signature spin to every cover that they do. Most of the band mates share similar taste in music including the likes of Beyonce and Rihanna as well as interests like playing music instruments and listening to music during their free time. They have a great dynamic and chemistry working together and thats probably one of the reasons why they are what they are; an energetic band! Whereas some of the other band mates enjoy watching movies, drag racing and sports which bring variety to the group. Instead of boarding a plane across the sea to Manila to see them play, you can find them at B.E.D. Waterfront Kota Kinabalu as HyperSoul is now their resident band so head on over and check them out!

  • ADAM TAMBAKAU It wasnt until Adam arrived in Australia that he realized his love for music. Looking back, he believes this was because music was what allowed him to connect and relate with new friends he was making in boarding school, despite our different cultural upbringings.

Long story short, he kept uploading videos ever since and experimented with different styles. Outside of song writing and covering songs, he discovered vlogs and sketches. He also makes videos when he travelled and shared them with friends and family back home. His videos never really blew up, but he slowly built a persona as a video maker (or YouTuber) amongst close friends and family, and people around him slowly accepted that he enjoyed making videos.

You may recognize Adam in the video How to use Bah? on Youtube. That helped him gain more recognition than his other videos, which then created a chain of events. People outside his friendship group started noticing what he loves doing, and in turn have inspired him to come up with more content. This provided him a platform to begin promoting himself as a musician and as an overall entertainer on YouTube.

Adam is hoping that one day he would be able to do this full-time and pay the bills while he is at it. We hope the best for Adam!Go check out his youtube channel and his official page here : youtube.adamtam.com or www.adamtam.com

Five random facts about yourself that most of your YouTube viewers will have a hard time believing are true.

Give us 5 words that best describe your personality?

What are the 5 most embarrassing things that have happened to you in life?

What are your 5 favorite songs to play?

What are your 5 catch phrases?

    (1) I am 62. I thought my avatar wouldve made my height pretty obvious... guess not. Go figure! (2) I cant cut paper/cardboard with scissors without making a chewing motion with my mouth. (3) Im a right-hander, but I can only shuffle cards with my left-hand. (4) Just like how most Malaysians religiously follow the BPL, I religiously follow an eSport called Heroes of Newerth (similar to DotA). I dont have a favourite team in football, but I do in HoN. (5) I love dubstep!

    (1) Calm (2) Open (3) Awkward (4) Patient (5) Nice

Are you crazy?! Im not gonna tell you 5 embarassing stories! But Ill give you one... This was while I was still studying in Melbourne. I was walking across the street with some friends at a traffic light intersection, when I noticed the sound of sirens becoming more apparent. Two of my friends didnt notice, so I shouted Dude, watch out the bomba is coming! After heroically pulling them aside, they gave me a look of confusion and said What the f... is a bomba? Mind you, I said Bomba with an Australian accent (Boeimbah) and only then did I realise that in English its called a Fire Truck. Doh! I dont have favourites that I continuously play

time and time again. I like learning new songs and experimenting with different styles. But if I had to choose, Id choose 3 songs that Ive written called

Without You (I Lose It All), Breathe and Crash and Burn because of what it means to me. As for the other two, the most recent ones Ive been playing is Ed Sheerans Lego House and The Commodores Easy.

Yo! (now think of 5 different ways of saying it)

  • So far, what is the ultimate sacrifice you have done in life?

Whats the ultimate sacrifice Ive done in life? To be honest, Im not sure but in my mind, it would be giving most of my time to people. Frank Chu

To me, I think my ultimate sacrifice would be me sacrificing all of my time, energy and disconnecting with the people around me just to give it all to someone that does not appreciate my effort. Kim Tamayo

My ultimate sacrifice was during the last few days my late grandfather was alive. I sacrificed all of my studying hours, sleep, social life just to stay with him, taking care of him and spend the last days with him. Cherlene C

So far, my ultimate sacrifice is to turn down job offers elsewhere because I was asked to be with my parents here in KK as I am one of the daughters left with them. Sad, but I love my parents. I cant say no. Maria L

Weve all made sacrifices in life and no matter big or small, it always make for a sad or happy life story. From my opinion, when you sacrifice something, you shouldnt regret it. These sacrifices that you make in life will give you experience, lessons in life, and develop you as an individual who will be able to learn from their mistakes. I have made a lot of sacrifices in life, and I dont regret any of it, all of the sacrifices Ive made in life have helped me learn about people and life even more. During the fasting month, I followed my Muslim friends to fast. I wanted to learn and understand more about their religion and experience first hand how it feels like to puasa. There were a lot of temptations and trials during the journey but Ive managed to learn self-control and sacrificed a few things along the way. Have you ever sacrificed anything recently?

    MAGURO

People that may not know you personally may not know whats your real name, what is your real name and why did you choose to be called Maguro instead? My real name is Lim Suk Yee, the reason why I chose to have this name because I do not have an English name. So, I decided to make one up and randomly picked the name Maguro, in English it means Tuna because Tuna is my favorite Japanese dish!

How do you always look so pretty and fashionable? Do give us some tip and advice on how to look fresh and fabulous all day!Dress to impress, thats my motto. Always present the very best of yourself wherever you go. Be positive and be yourself, dont try to become someone you are not. Whats most important is to cultivate good manners.

Have you ever received negative comments about your fashion sense? Have you ever considered of being a fashion designer?Yes I do, not everyone has the same taste so I understand and respect that. I dont mind the negative comments I receive because sometimes it could be your key to success. Ive always wanted to try fashion design as part time job. Im very passionate about fashion and I always dress to inspire everyone.

Some of you may know this Kawaii lady from KK that is very fashionable and loves anime. In fact, some of you may know her as an avid HobbyCon or cosplayer! Maguro graduated in Multimedia Animation and is currently working as a designer at Engetsu Online. Maguro started drawing ever since she was in primary school and Japanese anime influences her style a lot. She spends most of her time drawing (personal sketches and commissioned work), gaming and watching anime and considers herself an Otaku, which is geeky in English. Shes also crazy about fashion and never fails to keep up with the latest trend actually, she also has an online store selling Japanese fashion inspired pieces.Maguro gushed, Dont forget to support the event this year end okay! when asked about her passion in cosplaying. She also said that she loves cosplaying because it allows her to dress up in extraordinary get ups and even better, her favorite fictional characters from her favorite animes and games! Check out her artworks and journey as an artist and fashion lover at her website, www.itsmagu.com!

What do you think about people who do not approve of cosplaying?Cosplay is short for Costume and Play, you get to wear fancy outfits, wigs and make up by portraying your favorite cartoon/anime characters. Cosplay is also considered as a unique trend or hobby here in Malaysia, it is not widely accepted yet. However I can see that cosplaying is starting to grow and gain peoples attention in a positive way.

What are the things that youve learned in life so far?Ive learned a lot of things in my life and one of the great lessons Ive learned is gratitude. Always be thankful for all the things you have in life, because it helps us to appreciate what we already have and make us a more positive and happier person.

If you were someone else in your past life, who do you think you were and why?I think I am a cat in my past life, which makes me a big cat fanatic now! *Laughs*
