CRISTOBAL BALENCIAGA
Cristobal Balenciaga Eizagirre was born in Guetaria, on 21st January 1895 and he died in Alicante, on 23rd March 1972, at the age of 77 years.
He was a very famous fashion designer and he was the most famous Spanish couturier of the history. He was also an entrepeneur.
● Balenciaga's father was a fisherman and his mother was a seamstress.
● He was born in a catholic family.
● When he was young, he wanted to be a couturier and in his free time, he painted designs.

● In 1919, he opened a shop in Donostia and some years later, in Madrid and Barcelona too.
● When the Civil War started, he closed his shops and he went to live to Paris.
