Life in the 1990s was remarkably different for the average Indian. Consumerism had not set in. It was

devoid of most of the luxuries of the West. In fact everything imported was good, and everything Indian,

pass.

BADMAASH COMPANY is an extraordinary story set in the 1990s in middle class Bombay (as it was

known then), of four ordinary youngsters Karan (Shahid Kapoor), Bulbul (Anushka Sharma), Chandu(Vir Das) and Zing (Meiyang Chang) who came together to start an import business of things longed for

by yuppie Indians!

What made their venture such a stupendous success was the fact that they found a way to beat the

system and soon became the undisputed kings in their business, realising their one dream of making

quick money by doing all the wrong things the right way!

Living the life of champagne wishes and caviar dreams, the four friends discover that to make a business

successful you dont need big money.

All you need is a big idea!

With their larger than life schemes, the four go on a wild roller-coaster ride into the world of sheerglitzand

glamourwhere the stakes are high and risks even higher!

All was well and hunky dory till one day the four maverick entrepreneurs are forced to shut shop until

they come up with yet another perfect plan to beat the system...

Karan(Shahid Kapoor)

21, genius, a middle class boy, with a dream to make millions... fast!! But the

typical middle class values of his stern and principled father make this dream a

distant one. Till one day his 'beautiful mind thinks up the big idea to make it all

achievable! Karan and his friends set out to do all the wrong things... the right

way. Their Badmaash Company makes the foursome the youngest millionaires

in town and they start to live their dream! But friendship and money make

uneasy partners. Add to this Karans fatal flaw - his ego. Will Karan outride his

demons as he struggles to keep his love and friendships intact?

Bulbul (Anushka Sharma)

She is feisty and fiery, a small town girl, hungry to make it in the big city of

dreams, Bombay. And shes not going to let her golden heart stop her. Butencounters with the sleazy side of the modeling world force her to abandon

her big dream... till she meets Karan, with whom she shares an even bigger

dream. Bulbul becomes one of the foursome of Badmaash Company and

loses her heart to Karan. In all her unconventional life, this one conventional

step takes Bulbul on the roller-coaster ride of Karan's life!

Zing (Meiyang Chang)

His chinky eyes are the source of many a friendly jibe, but he's more than

just the average boy from Sikkim. He is quintessentially a Bombayite with abig dream. A dream that drowns a little each day, as he hits the bottle in des-

perate search for his identity. His life is heading nowhere and his dreams are

on hold, until he meets Karan, who has an even bigger dream! Zing

becomes one of the foursome in Badmaash Company and knows there is

Chandu (Vir Das)

Born to a Sindhi junior artist father and a hairdresser mom, Chandu is the

eternal wannabe actor, with a yen for big-breasted women. Yet there is

nothing clich about Chandu. He is sincere in his passion of making it as a

leading man in the movies, but Tiger, his bitter and dominating father, will

have none of it. Life has hit a roadblock except that his best friend is

Karan... and in Karan lies the only chance Chandu has of making it big.
