The BA (Hons.) in Built Environment Studies at the Jindal School of Art and Architecture is a unique four-year program in the country.
In this inter-disciplinary program, you learn the fundamentals of design & making along with essentials of environmental, policy, urban, economic, technology, sustainability and legal studies.
Your classrooms comprise live projects, internships, exchange programs.
You learn from a faculty trained in some of the best universities across the world such as Harvard, Cornell, Oxford, Berkeley, Heidelberg, Politecnico Di Milano and includes urbanists, anthropologists, geographers, historians, artists, lawyers, engineers who have taught in many reputable universities across the world.

For Admission into BA (Hons) B.E.S. program: Applicants are selected through a holistic admissions process conducted over three rounds based on a personal statement, supplemental question, X and XII Grade Marks, Faculty Interview and JSAT-50 %/SAT-1100 & above/JEE-2-165 Marks & Above/NATA- 80 Marks & Above / NIFT- Qualified/NID-Qualified/UCEED PART A (Total)- 50 and above. Students completing grade 12th in 2020 can also apply.
Min. Eligibility: Applicants to the Built Environment Studies BA (Hons.) programme at JSAA must have successfully passed the examination at the 10+2 level of schooling or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks and NATA/JEE2/NIFT/NID/UCEED/CEPT/ACT/SAT & JSAT-50% result.
ELIGIBILITY & ADMISSION CRITERIA
Students at JSAA can opt from any of the prefigured minors or even design their own minor in consultation with a faculty mentor.

In the ever-expanding areas of design, construction, evaluation, coding, legal aspects and regulations, surveying, sustainability, project management, heritage conservation and management and many others.
Employment opportunities
In a range of postgraduate courses in design, architecture, landscape planning, urban studies, development studies, ecology and environment studies, project and construction management to name a few.
Further studies
Trains you in the essential skills required in sectors such as development, building industry, infrastructure and planning.
In the growing fields of development policy and planning, urban planning, environmental impact assessment, ecosystem conservation, surveying, community mobil izat ion, transport management and many others.
Employment opportunities
