A message from John Mollenhauer, TCA President

Finding Shelter from the Storm Does it not finally feel like summer? It's about bloody time! I had lunch earlier this week with Lee Baker, our Board Chairman and an avid sailing enthusiast who asked me which I thought was worse, our ailing economy or the lousy weather? Good question! From my perspective, finding ports in a storm is about knowing where to look for shelter. In terms of the weather, Lee tells me that until recently, pockets of good sailing conditions were few and far between. We agreed, however, that a growing number of construction industry practitioners are actually successfully finding lucrative market opportunities, notwithstanding the horrific economic climate. By coincidence, the current TCA Builders Digest issue is about "building opportunities" and includes helpful information and insights related to some of these more profitable markets. CCA and Government of Canada release Infrastructure Program update.....compliments of

CCASince the delivery of the federal Budget earlier this year, CCA has been working to keep members updated on federal infrastructure program spending and provide information regarding program rules and obligations. At the request of the office of the Honourable John Baird, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, CCA has posted on their website an update on government programs and spending since January.....For full release click here.

May Building Permits Top $5 Billion.....compliments of COCA
