what are they?

“Describe a recent situation at work, at home, at school, or in

that led you or someone else to demonstrate an attitude.
Complete
the following statements to determine what kind of attitude

communicated.”

Attitudes are communicated
by:
• The words you use (what you say or don’t say)
• The tone of voice (how you say what you say)
• Your body language and facial expressions (what you do)
What does attitude sound like?
– Positive attitude: verbally communicated with action
words in an upbeat, enthusiastic tone of voice.
– Negative attitude: verbally communicated with words
of resistance in a whining or abrasive tone of voice.
– Neutral attitude: communicated through silence,
however, it may be expressed with apathy by using
passive language.
