ATI- Club Tournament a HUGE success!

Yes, yes, we know it was too busy and crowded. This is why we are running the event over two days in November. We want all spectators to be able to sit. This means fighters hang out up stairs in the warm-up room or sit on the mats behind the flag bunting. We will time the event so less people are in the gym at one time and so the officials get a break to eat and drink over the 9 hours that we run it on the Saturday! We are so grateful to you all for the support you have shown and this has helped so many kids and adults get experience and show off their talents, even if they did not win a medal.

Well done to Logan Burrus winner of the “supreme dragon” trophy, and to Jane Henderson,Callum Shahidi, Michaek Kaplan and Olivier Roberts for winning best Male/female junior and senior fighter awards. And well done to Andrew Manders for winning overall technical champion award. Andrew was a stand out performer in sparring also on the day. As this goes to print the ATI team cleaned up at the state championships with 34 Gold, 26 Silver and 9 Bronze medals- looks like a huge team for the Nationals in Sydney this year!

All members –note it is school policy to put your name on your uniform. Kick boxers can put their name on their belt in large black printing. This helps everyone get to know your name including instructors

belt this means Harley has completed the entire Little Dragons program after almost 3 years. That is pretty impressive for a 6 year old!!

Thank you to the ATI Broome club for hosting Mr Curtis for Gradings and a Referee seminar

in preparation for the ATI Northwest clubs tournament on 25th August. If you are interested keep an eye on the website for entry details. Fancy a weekend in Broome? Why not ,we hope some of our ATI City members will attend.

Sparring Gear

Sparring is a regular part of your training, so make sure you have all your sparring gear, and make sure it is clearly labelled.

The 2012/13 Elite WA Footbrawl league season starts in October and we are running

some induction training sessions for new league

Congratulations Master Farris Ashley Farris has graduated and been officially promoted by the ATI Master Board to 4th Dan Black belt. Ashley is a true Master of Taekwondo and started training as a very young boy- Well don Ashley Farris!
