Opportunity Classes for Years 5-6 Opportunity classes cater for highly achieving academically gifted students who may otherwise be without sufficient classmates at their own academic and social level. These classes help gifted and talented students to learn by grouping them with other gifted and talented students, teaching them in specialised ways and providing educational materials at the appropriate level. The Opportunity Class is situated at Sturt Public School. If you would like further information please request an ‘Intention to Apply’ form from the Principal.
Easter Hat Parade The great and colourful Easter Hat Parade will be on this Thursday 6th April, at 10am and the whole community is invited. Everyone is looking forward to seeing all the wonderful hats made in so many special ways. We have prizes for the best hat in each class and the colouring competition. The donations for the Easter raffle have been fantastic this year so we will have some of the best prizes ever to win. Make sure you buy your raffle tickets to have a chance to win. First day of Term 2 for students We wish everyone a happy holiday and Easter break. Please look after each other and keep safe. Staff will return for Term 2 on Monday 24 April for professional learning. Parents and carers are reminded that students return to school for Term 2 on Wednesday 26 April.

ANZAC Day Special Assembly ANZAC Day is a very important day we commemorate at our school. As the 25th April falls in the school holidays, we will be holding our ANZAC assembly on Friday the 7th April, at 10am in our school hall. The service will include the children singing and the laying of wreaths. It should be a very moving assembly and we invite all members of our school community who wish to attend to join us on this special occasion.
