Make sure your setout is square by measuring the diagonals - they should be equal. Dig holes 600mm deep x 300mm di- ameter. Ensure the hole depths are all the same, make any adjustments using dry concrete mix in the base of the holes. Preparing for Assembling your ArbourTo start you should prepare an area for the Arbour before you begin putting it together. Step 1:Lay out the contents of yourArbour-In-A-Box. Identify the following:

Beams

Rafters

Posts

You should alsohave:8x (110mm Bolts)18x (150mm Bugle Head Screws)

Step 2:Not all the beams / rafters and posts are the same.Place the two beams that have pre-drilled holes out on the ground with the third undrilled beam between them. The rebated sides should be facing upwards. Find the two rafters with pre-drilled holes and fit these into place over therebates as shown in the picture. The pre-drilled rafters must be at the ends of the arbour. Ensure the rebated side of the rafters is facing down so as to lock together with the rebates in the beams.

Step 3:Fit the remaining rafters over the restof the rebated positions. Use a hammerand timber block and tap the rafters down to set them in place.

Once the roof of the arbour is complete, using the 150mm Bugle head screws, fix into position by screwing through the pre-drilled holes on the rafters into the beams below.

Lay Rafterswtih DrillHoles at each

Step 4:Lift the roof on its side and attach the Posts. There are two sets of posts - one for each side.Once the post is in position, use the 110mm Boltsto secure them. Each post should have 1 bolt through the beam and 1 bolt through the rafters at the pre-drilled positions (For the best look face bolts such that the cuphead is showing outwards). It may be necessary to use a hammer to set stubborn bolts - as holes are oppose-drilled to provide maximum stiffness for the Arbour. Secure with washer and knut.

Once the two posts are attached, team lift the Arbour up-right and attach the remaining posts. We strongly recommend the use of a ladder and that you follow safe lifting procedures in this step as the Arbour may be heavy.

Once all posts are attached and the Arbour is upright use a spanner / shifter to tighten the bolts until stiff.

Step 5:Complete the installation by setting the Arbour into the prepared position. Remember to paint / oil / seal your new Arbour against the weather and to maintain the 25 Y Warranty.
