This project has an anticipated completion date of June, 2017. Proposed Work Schedule April/May 2015 Continue installation of bulkhead at West 11 th Road. Continue installation of bulkhead at West 12 th Road. Continue installation of bulkhead at West 13 th Road. Work Completed to Date Cofferdam construction completed on West 11 th , West 12 th and West 13 th Roads. Installation of new valves at Cross Bay Boulevard and West 11 th , West 12 th , and West 13 th Roads. Located underground water and sewer service to homes on West 11 th , West 12 th and West 13 th Roads. Construction of Cofferdam at West 12 th Road Water Service Interruption During the course of this project, there will be temporary water service interruptions. To allow water mains replacement, the existing water service must be shut off by closing the valves at either end of the section. Advance notice will be given for all planned interruptions. Water service will be restored everyday by the end of the work shift. If additional shut downs are required you will receive a new notice daily until work is completed. Community Impacts During construction hours, you can expect the following: Increased levels of dust, noise and heavy equipment Vehicular travel lane closures will be required Detours (Warning signs will be posted in advance) Parking and driveway restrictions Signs will be posted within the affected areas Pedestrian access to buildings will be maintained Property Damage You are advised to inform the Resident Engineer (RE) or the Contractor of any property damage that you may have; if the contractor fails to respond within 10 days, you should inform the DDC Borough Director in writing. If you intend to file a claim you must do so within 90 days of the occurrence with the New York City Comptroller’s Office. The New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYC

DDC) is managing a construction project to install new

bulkheads, water main, sanitary and storm sewers, roadway

reconstruction, new streets and sidewalks, traffic and street

lighting on West 11th, West 12th and West 13th Roads in the

Broad Channel section of Queens. This project has an

anticipated completion date of June, 2017.

Water Service Interruption

During the course of this project, there wil l be
