Mariposa Mountain Rider’s FIRST 2018 TRAIL RIDE April 28, 2018 LONG ‘S MARIPOSA RANCH 4333 OLD HIGHWAY, MARIPOSA PROMPTLY RIDING OUT AT 10:00AM! Expect the ride to be about 3 to 3 1/2 hrs. Pack yourself a lunch for when we take a break half way through the ride. This ride is an annual favorite of many MMR members. With mostly single track trails, rolling hills, studded with lots of oak trees, and creeks. Bring your camera as you will experience some great views and cattle...yes, they do roam throughout the ranch. Also, springtime means we can enjoy the beauty of the fresh bloomed wildflowers. DIRECTIONS: From Mariposa & Oakhurst: Take Hwy 49 South to Old Highway. Proceed approximately 3.3 miles to the main ranch entrance on your right. If you reach the intersection of Old Highway/Buckeye/Yaqui Gulch...you’ve gone too far! Turn right onto the ranch and follow the *driveway past the main house (on the right). You will come to a gate. Pass through the gate and be sure to close that gate once you’ve driven through as there may be roaming cattle! Once through the gate proceed past the shop and park in the grassy meadow near old truck trailers not far from an occupied mobile home. *PLEASE DRIVE SLOWER THAN 5 MILES PER HOUR ALONG THE DRIVEWAY... WE DO NOT WANT TO MAKE DUST FOR THEHOUSES. From Merced: Take Hwy 140 towards Mariposa. Turn right on Yaqui Gulch Road, proceed for about 3.2 miles to Old Highway. Mariposa Mountain Rider’s FIRST 2018 TRAIL RIDE

Merced and Tuolumne Counties. Divisions are Junior Princess (Age 6-10*), Princess (Age 11-15*)

and Queen (Age 16-23*) (*age as of December 31, 2017).

The Rodeo Royalty Committee will be hosting an introduction meeting for contestants on

June 3rd

, 2018 at 3pm. Application and fees are due on or before 5 pm Sunday June 3rd

, 2018.

The contest is administrated by the Mariposa Friends of the Fairgrounds Foundation a nonprofit

organization that helps assist the Fairgrounds with critical improvements and maintenance allowing

them to stay open now and for future generations to enjoy.

2018 Fair Rodeo Royalty Applications

The Mariposa Friends of the Fairgrounds Foundation along with

the Rodeo Royalty Committee announces that the 2018 Mariposa

County Fair Rodeo Royalty Applications and Rules are now

available for this year’s contest.

The contest offers three divisions and is open to young ladies

ranging in ages from 6 to 23 that are from Mariposa, Madera,
