Formed in Cape Town in 2008, the pop trio of lead vocalist and songwriter Matthew Field, bassist Ross Dorkin and drummer Robin Brink set SA ablaze with their 2014 debut, The Hanging Gardens of Beatenberg. The album produced the hit tracks ‘Chelsea Blakemore’, ‘Rafael’ and ‘Pluto (remember you)’, a collaboration with DJ Clock. Beatenberg went on to perform on the main stage at 2014’s Rocking The Daisies music festival, opened for US rock band Thirty Seconds To Mars in Cape Town, and were nominated for five Metro FM Music Awards.

Their latest success: headlining at the 16th annual Cape Town International Jazz Festival.
