“Like his lead safe program – thousands of young African American children were being poisoned every year by lead paint in older homes. But over the last ten years, he’s almost completely eliminated lead poisoning.

“It’s why he started hot spot policing…to prevent crime before it happens. And he started a Reverse 911 system to check up on seniors who live alone.
