ORGAN FUNDFirst Lutheran’s organ is much like a living, breathing thing, with our masterful organist, Gabriel Hicks bringing out its best each time he sits down at the bench. Over the last couple years, however, our organ doctor who comes to tune and maintain the instrument has been raising concerns about a number of quite technical—but very important—maintenance issues. To address these ailments, First will be highlighting the organ’s needs throughout the month of May as we invite all our members to make a special additional offering so that we can continue to make a joyful noise each time we worship. Please consider using a ‘special’ offering envelope in the pews or simply writing ‘organ fund’ on the memo line of your check.
