Scope
5t is the aim of this recommendation to describe a standardi'ed unia9ial tensile test.This recommendation resents 4 different test methods for measurin the load@
deformation beha2ior of te9tile reinforced concrete under unia9ial tensile load (ith
fibers alined arallel to the loadin direction. The ultimate strenth of the te9tile, thefirst crac" stress of the concrete as (ell as the stress@strain cur2e of the comosite
secimen (hich are necessary for the desin of te9tile reinforced concrete can be
determined from the test data. The recommendation is only 2alid for uasistatic
testin.

Installation of specimens
Secimens are mounted into the tension de2ice. &et(een the steel arts and the

Test procedure
The tensile tests are carried out in deformation controlled mode by crosshead
dislacement at a strain rate of 4 I 80@/? min. The test is finished at a loss of at least B0
H of the ultimate load.
