    The aim of this document is to show all the preparations, actions and KPIs evolution for Amr Diab event which

    occurred in Mousa Coast on Friday 29-08-2014 .

    The preparations for the event (new mobile shelter , sites upgrades , DT measurements , parameters retune ) will be

    illustrated in details .

    The main KPIs evolution will be discussed in the next slides .

    The recommendations will be presented in the conclusion to be taken into considerations in next events .

    The importance of Amr Diab event could be observed from high number of attendances , therefore special

    preparations have been done for the sake of this event .

    The event was served by the below sites :

    1. RS-AMR-DIAB (mobile shelter) .

    2. SS-MOUSA-COAST .

    3. SZ-HALIJAL-OYN .

    The planned events preparations will be discussed in this section:

    Mobile shelter (RS-AMR-DIAB) was planned to rectify the extra TRXs needed on all sectors to

    guarantee that the capacity will be sufficient.

    Mobile shelter configuration was (8HR 8HR 8HR----8HR 8HR 8HR) to avoid any congestion .

    Frequency plan and neighbors definition were done on mobile shelter (RS-AMR-DIAB) .

    SDCCHs reconfiguration was done to avoid an suspected SDCCH assign cong .

    Parameters tuning were done in our preparation for expected traffic increase .

    Upgrades were requested as shown below :

    The traffic was stepped up on8/29/2014 4:00:00 PM and

    reached the highest value (106.9

    Er) on 8/29/2014 9:00:00 PM ,

    with zero SD and RTCH assign

    cong.

    The traffic was increased during

    hours of event ( 4 PM to 11 PM)

    from 381.3 Erl to 692.8 Erl

    compared with same hours for the

    day before, with percentage of

    increase 81.69%.

    The main KPIs were stable during the event period.

    Huge increase in traffic as it was increased by 81.69% from 381 Erl to 692 Erl compared with

    same hours for the day before.

    There was zero SDCCH and RTCH assign cong during the highest peak of traffic .

    The total number of extra TRXs for this event was 48 TRXs .

    There were 11 cells (6 GSM and 5 DCS cells) serving this event .

    Upgrades were not done on sites SS-MOUSA-COAST and SZ-HALIJAL-OYN but did not affect the

    congestion during the peak of the highest traffic .

    Mobile shelter is highly recommended in such events .

    Voice traffic was stepped up on

    8/29/2014 2:00 PM and reached the

    highest value (54 Er) on 8/29/2014 8:00

    PM .

    Data traffic was stepped up on

    8/29/2014 12:00 PM and HSDPA

    reached the highest value (3.5 Gbyte) on

    8/30/2014 12:00 AM

    & HSUPA reached the highest value

    (4.2 Gbyte) on 8/29/2014 11:00 PM .

    CSSR Voice & HSDPA degraded for due

    VCC congestions @ 10PM and solved

    next hour due to below actions.

    We Increased CPICH power for S_SS-

    MOUSA-COAST_0485SI @11PM to

    offload traffic from site MS-AMR-DIAB &

    we Decreased MaxTotalUplinkSymbolRate

    for site MS-AMR-DIAB @11:03 PM.

    traffic from site MS-AMR-DIAB & we

    Decreased MaxTotalUplinkSymbolRate for

    site MS-AMR-DIAB .

    Upgrades were done on sites SS-MOUSA-COAST and SZ-HALIJAL-OYN .

    The main KPIs were stable during the event period except 2 hours.

    Voice traffic increased by 61% from 21 Erl to 54 Erl compared with same hours for the day

    before.

    HSDPA Traffic increased by 48.5% from 1.8Gbyte to 3.5Gbyte compared with same hours for the

    day before.

    HSUPA Traffic increased by 88.8% from 0.47Gbyte to 4.2Gbyte compared with same hours for the

    day before.

    Mobile shelter is highly recommended in such events .
