FORMATION AND PD FOR LASALLIAN WORKPLACES 2017including those with more than one charism

May we draw your attention to this program, to take place very shortly (November 22-24). It was suggested by the Working Party members, who gave us some valuable suggestions regarding 2017 formation and PD programs.

The Working Party considered it would be very helpful in planning 2017 formation in schools and workplaces to have a program later in 2016 for those responsible for that planning. We have been able to secure the facilities and accommodation at the Marist Brothers’ Hermitage at Mittagong, a very comfortable and well-equipped venue. It is located a little over an hour from Sydney, and is quite an easy drive down the M5.

Our intention is to provide some input and resources on the three strands of Lasallian formation: story, pedagogy and spirituality, and to provide an opportunity for participants to workshop that material in way that will suit in-house formation needs in 2017. We will also explore ways in which those endeavours may be enhanced by some staff members’ participation in District formation programs.

As with all our 2017 programs this program has gained the recognition of BBI The Australian Institute of Theological Education. It will also be registered with all relevant diocesan Schools and Catholic Education Offices.

We also wish to incorporate into the program an exploration of the ways in which formation and PD can be enriched by connections between the Lasallian charism and those of other congregations which are part of the heritage of some schools.

We invite you to consider allowing one or more members of staff to participate in the program, whose details are attached together with an application form.
