All Saints Catholic School Yesterday we celebrated our sixty 8th grade graduates at our all school Mass that preceded Field Day. It was lovely to see the long line of young men and women in their caps and gowns walking across the lot at the North campus. Each person has a sto- ry, one that we as a school community contributed toward, and each person is leaving here more formed in his/her faith and skilled in a variety of academic disciplines. As they walked past me and I lifted each child’s name up to the Lord with gratitude, I was reminded of the following two Scripture passages: “…I have called you by name and you are mine” Isaiah 43:1 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." Isaiah 43:1 Coming to know these young people from a young age, to me, is one of the beautiful elements of an Early Childhood/K4-8th grade school community. The children come to us often for their very first school experience and leave here ready to enter high school well prepared for their next academic environment. In Middle School the students take on leadership roles that prepare them to enter high school with confidence and the skills necessary to meet the challenges of high school. It is bitter sweet to see our 8th grade class graduate. There is sadness in saying good bye as we will miss them; however, it is also a day of joy be- cause they are now ready for a new and exciting academic venture and we trust they will truly make a positive impact in the larg- er community. We have just short of one week left of the 2015-16 school year. In many ways it has been a year of blessings. We have grown in size and in the programs we offer. We have grown in the number of families served. We have grown in the number of awards our students earned. We have grown in the number of sports and clubs we offer our students. We have grown in faith as a Cath- olic community centered on Christ. The children have been so well behaved and worked hard on their academics. Our test scores show that high quality instruction, good discipline and hard work on the behalf of our students equals an increase in knowledge and skills! In addition, we have had our struggles. While we can’t go back and get a “do over” and I am deeply sorry for any role I played in budgeting decisions that left us with a financial shortfall, we are in a solid place moving forward and plan on continuing the good work begun here at All Saints Catholic School. I was reminded again, of the wonderful, caring, generous, prayerful and commit- ted individuals we have in our community. Please watch the newsletter for summer hours and events. All Sa ints Cathol ic School

Yesterday we celebrated our sixty 8th grade graduates at our all school Mass that preceded Field Day. It was lovely to see the

long line of young men and women in their caps and gowns walking across the lot at the North campus. Each person has a sto-

ry, one that we as a school community contributed toward, and each person is leaving here more formed in his/her faith and

skilled in a variety of academic disciplines. As they walked past me and I lifted each child’s name up to the Lord with gratitude, I

was reminded of the following two Scripture passages:

“…I have called you by name and you are mine” Isaiah 43:1

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet

to the nations." Isaiah 43:1

Coming to know these young people from a young age, to me, is one of the beautiful elements of an Early Childhood/K4-8th

grade school community. The children come to us often for their very first school experience and leave here ready to enter high

school well prepared for their next academic environment. In Middle School the students take on leadership roles that prepare

them to enter high school with confidence and the skills necessary to meet the challenges of high school. It is bitter sweet to see

our 8th grade class graduate. There is sadness in saying good bye as we will miss them; however, it is also a day of joy be-

cause they are now ready for a new and exciting academic venture and we trust they will truly make a positive impact in the larg-

er community.

We have just short of one week left of the 2015-16 school year. In many ways it has been a year of blessings. We have grown in

size and in the programs we offer. We have grown in the number of families served. We have grown in the number of awards

our students earned. We have grown in the number of sports and clubs we offer our students. We have grown in faith as a Cath-

olic community centered on Christ. The children have been so well behaved and worked hard on their academics. Our test

scores show that high quality instruction, good discipline and hard work on the behalf of our students equals an increase in

knowledge and skills!

In addition, we have had our struggles. While we can’t go back and get a “do over” and I am deeply sorry for any role I played in

budgeting decisions that left us with a financial shortfall, we are in a solid place moving forward and plan on continuing the good

work begun here at All Saints Catholic School. I was reminded again, of the wonderful, caring, generous, prayerful and commit-

ted individuals we have in our community.

Please watch the newsletter for summer hours and events. We will also be sending home our Summer Enrichment Packets.

Release of Transcript . . . If your family is not registering for All Saints Catholic School for the 2016-17 school year . . . Re-

lease of Transcript forms are available in the school office and on the website. Transcripts of records will not be sent until we have this completed form on file.

LOST & FOUND . . . Check it out . . . Everything will be recycled or donated by June 13th BUSSING FOR 2016-17 . . . Each year a new request form must be completed and turned in to your campus office. Forms

were sent home and can be found on our website. Looking at the completed forms I have received to date, it looks like only 40% of the students who were bus riders this year are requesting transportation for next year. The 2016-17 requests are sub-mitted to KUSD as soon as we are finished with this school year. Your child will not be on the 2016-17 roster if I do not have your completed form.

LUNCH ACCOUNTS . . . Last week an email was sent out for those with past due accounts. These accounts need to be current

by the end of the school year. 8th Grade needs to be current by June 1 in order to participate in graduation activities. Please review your parent Option C account and review each child. A hot lunch deposit form NEEDS to be included with the payment so each child’s account is credited correctly. Do not send in payment without the deposit slip. The form can be found on the website www.allsaintskenosha.org\current families\forms.

Summer Food Service Program . . . Please see attached notice, if your child attends ASCS your child is more than welcome to utilize this breakfast and lunch program. Your child does not need to be registered for summer school in order to use this pro-gram.

Did you know that we continue to enroll new students throughout the Summer?

There are just a few current ASCS families that have not enrolled yet. Please go to the ASCS website to enroll your child and

save a spot for him/her. Allsaintskenosha.org

It is not too late to enroll for the 2016-17 school year. Please encourage your friends, families, neighbors and coworkers to

call or email if they are interested in enrolling their child for the 2016-17 school year. We continue throughout the Summer,

to give tours, answer questions and accept enrollments for grades that have not been filled.

For more information, contact Sue Wendorf (262)925-4024 or [email protected]

We had 26 families participate for a total amount of $17715.00; earning a rebate of $993.31. 50% for the school $$496.65

and 50% returned to the families $496.65.

Thanks for a successful year. The year end scrip report will be available next week.
