PART 1 APPLICATION INFORMATION BACKGROUND

Old Girl, Aline Darke OAM generously contributed to the Scholarship Fund in the hope that girls with leadership skills and potential could thrive from a quality education as she did. The Scholarship is open to girls entering Year 9 in 2020 who are external to the School, as well as those currently studying at Mentone Girls' Grammar.

ELIGIBILITYThe Aline Darke Perpetual Scholarship is means-tested and will be awarded to a student whose annual gross family income is below $100,000. The scholarship is tenable until the student has completed Year 12 for as long as the means test is satisfied. If the combined family income rises above $100,000 in any financial year, the scholarship for the following year may be reduced at the discretion of the School. The Scholarship will cover tuition fees in Years 9-12. The School Admission fee will be waived. The Scholarship does not cover the levies nor expenses associated with uniforms or books. Please allow approximately $5000 per year for additional expenses.

SCHOLARSHIP TESTPlease note that testing for the Aline Darke Perpetual Scholarship, following application, will occur on Saturday 17 November 2018.

HOW TO APP LYPlease complete the following Application Form and provide together with copies of:

• Applicant’s school reports from the pasttwo years, including attendance recordsand any other educational, medical orpsychological testing results.

• Applicant’s most recent NAPLAN report.

• Centrelink or Australian Taxation Officedocumentation which confirms your totalfamily means status as $100,000 or lessincluding tax returns from the previoustwo years and parental proof of income.Further substantiation will be required forthose who own their own business.

• $100 Registration Fee.
