Opening Note

Dear Applicant,

Hello you who is reading this. I am very happy that you decided totake the brave step and apply for the MC. I know you might have a lotof questions and you might be even a little bit scared. Good. That isexactly what life is about. Nothing great has ever came out fromdecisions where you don’t feel scared.

Now when I’m writing this I have been MCPe for three days. Theinduction was started immediately and I can promise you we will havea lot of challenges ahead. It is good. Challenges are what we needwhen we want to achieve something great. Every challenge is also anopportunity which has to be utilized. Without challenges there isnothing to learn either. I can promise you that it is not going to beeasy, but it will be very rewarding.

Job Description

- National direction and strategy creation- Implementation of global/national/local strategies

- Supporting LC operations- Research and training for MC and LC development

- Preparing and participating in MC meetings- MC planning and review

- Regular evaluation of performance and progress- MC team events and evaluations

- MC succession planning- MC transition

- Review and revision of the AIESEC In Finland compendium- Submission of Global surveys and reports

MC LifeThe MC term officially starts on the 1st ofJuly 2016 and ends on 30th of June 2017.However, once elected, the MC should beavailable for transition as well as other

required commitments for the MC Job onregular basis. It is highly recommended

that the elected MC be available toattend EuroXpro '16, in Bulgaria from 10th

to 16th April.

The MC position is a full-time role and requires full commitment of 40/hours perweek(except for weekends of conferences and special events). Each MC member

gets 20 days of paid-holidays for the term. All work related travel costs in Finlandare covered. Full or partial coverage for international meetings will depend on the

budget situation.

The MC office is located in Helsinki. The current office has separate work stationsfor each member as well as kitchen and washroom and includes wifi and sauna

facilities. The location of the office might be changed in the coming months.

The MC team will receive enough financial compensation per month to cover basicaccommodation, internal travel and food costs. The final compensation amount will

be communicated once the budget is finalized.

The MC team stays in MC flats located in Helsinki and the surrounding regions. Theaccommodation includes a separate room for every person and shared kitchen, toilet

and shower. Wifi, heating and water charges are included in the rent.

Full commitment forMC role is

mandatory fromselection onwards.

The total length of the completeapplication package should not exceed 10 pages. The package should include:

AIESEC CV (max. 1 page)Please divide your AIESEC CV into Roles held in AIESEC and Conferences attended. For eachrole please specify the title, duration, results achieved, key learning as well as absolute andrelative growth in results as compared to same duration in the previous year. For conferences,please specify maximum 3 conferences which were most significant in your AIESEC career asdelegate/faci/chair along with size of the conference, dates of the conference and yourlearnings.

Personal CV (max. 1 page)Please mention your full name, citizenship, contact details (email,phone and skype atleast) aswell as a link to your linkedin profile. Under academic qualification please mention relevantprojects which your were part of (if any) and clearly state your learnings from the same. Underprofessional experience, clearly state the timeline and responsibilities of each role you wish tomention along with results achieved. Please include language proficiency and hobbies in theend.

4. In your opinion what is the biggest challenge (1 biggest challenge) of LCs in theoperations of iGCDP and what one solution would you initiate in solving that?

5. What one thing you can improve in iGCDP & iGIP? How will you do it?

6. How will you ensure sustainable growth in LC Talent Capacity? Why is thisrelevant?

7. What would you do in order to keep people in LC’s engaged with AIESEC? Namestrategies or actions LC’s should take in order to have people that invest enoughtime in AIESEC.

8. How can LC’s accelerate the inner and outer journey of their AIESECers? Whatshould they do to develop the 4 leadership qualities? Indicate practical examples.

9. Create a strategy for unifying EwA activities across the country. These eventsmust include external companies and prizes and appeal to Corporates/Organizationsand students. Please include KPIs and targets per LC. The realization of the projectshould take place in Q4 and Q1/Q2.

10. How can we improve in our marketing strategies in order to achieve 100%growth in all our programs, provide 5 key elements and justification supported withdata.

11. What is the biggest bottleneck in the Marketing-OGX synergy and how will youovercome it?

12. Describe way how you will make MC and LCs budgets sustainable. Be as much asdetailed oriented as possible.

13. Evaluate current financial and legal situation in AIESEC in Finland.

14. Considering that currently most of the MC budget comes from sales and grantsfrom foundations, how will you ensure that by the end of your term most of themoney is coming from operations and sales?

The selection process will consist of mainly interviews, speeches and QnA. Theselection working group will assess the candidates throughout the process andprovide recommendation to the General Assembly of AIESEC in Finland. The

selection working group consists of current + elect MCP, one LC representative,representative of the Board and two externals.
