Dear Readers,

in the past quarter, the Oil & Gas (O&G) sector continues to witness persistent depressed oil prices as a result of steady production and the resulting increase in oil inventory buildup globally. Despite facing challenges and volatility in our space, we have not forgotten our core values and mission to our customers and stakeholders – high standard of service reliability and operational excellence continues to be our top priority and focus.

On the same note, we are pleased to update our partners that POsH is now officially a Marlins approved Test Centre. as an approved Test Centre, we maintain the testing standards as agreed with the uK Maritime & Coastguard agency (MCa). This would further enhance our training and competency development programme for our fleet crew.

Demonstrating our exceptional emergency management and preparedness training, our emergency Response division was called into action in january 2015, completing an oil spill and cargo transfer operation seamlessly without any incidents. Our rapid deployment of POsH assistor and salvixen and a team of highly-specialised oil spill response crew to the scene ensured no further escalation of the situation.

significant projects completed in recent months include our multi-vessel campaign with exxon Mobil in Vietnam. This milestone project further validates our reputation for the highest-level of operational excellence for our customers. We are also pleased to make greater headways in the Vietnam offshore market. Our 16,000BHP aHTs, POsH Constant also successfully completed multiple operations for eni indonesia, earning praise for its top efficiency and safety standards.

as an update on POsH Xanadu, we are extremely pleased to announce that the world’s largest semi-submersible has successfully completed acceptance tests with Petrobras and has connected the gangway, officially commencing operations. This marks our first foray and long-term commitment to the deepwater accommodation business.

750POB SSAV, POSH XANADU CLEARED PETROBRAS ACCEPTANCE TEST

POsH Xanadu has cleared the final hurdle of dynamic positioning (DP) and connection testing after many weeks

of Petrobras’s industry-renown inspections and tests.

“We are finally coming to the end of the acceptance tests, and I would like to highlight the excellent performance of the team involved in POSH’s receipt of UMS Praia do Arpoador. After several days of exhausting work for 24 hours a day, the POSH team has passed all tests required by DP experts from Petrobras,” said Walter De silva, Lead Fiscal of Petrobras, acknowledging the efforts of POsH.

Capt jan Ole nesland, Project Director of Offshore accommodation (Deepwater) division said, “The experience and knowledge of the Petrobras DP acceptance team is impressive. The on-hire process and tests have also been educational for POsH. it is a pleasure to learn that our lady, POsH Xanadu, lives up to her expectations.”

Despite multiple rounds of rigorous testing and stringent assessments, POsH Xanadu was accepted into her maiden contract. Our successful entry into the high-end semi-submersible market is testament to our deep expertise and commitment to the industry. POsH remains fully committed to growing its expertise and reputation in this field and looks forward to working closely with Petrobras to ensure the safety and comfort of all their personnel on board the POsH Xanadu in the years ahead.

238POB LCV, POSH Endurance working on dynamic positioning mode in a coil tubing role alongside a platform owned by charterer

POSH’S NEWLY BUILT 238POB DP2 LCV, POSH ENDURANCE ON FIRM TWO YEARS CHARTER

in March 2015, POsH is proud to announce the delivery of its first 238POB DP2 Light Construction Vessel (LCV), POsH endurance from PaxOcean

shipyard in Zhuhai, China.

POsH endurance is currently working on a firm two years charter, providing accommodation and catering support to the charterers’ personnel on board. Charterers have also deployed a heave compensated gangway, which is extendable up to 25m, as a mean of providing a quick and safe mode of personnel transfer to and fro the platform and vessel.

Charterers have complimented that the crew on board POsH endurance has been the best crew that they have ever worked with.

“Since the first day we were on board POSH Endurance, they have been showing good attitude and best support to our operation. I find them hard working and very professional in their work. During the time of mobilisation and sea trial, they have proven to be incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Their efficient working ethics contribute to the success of our operations and the communication to the vessel was instantaneous,” said charterers’ representative.

in addition to her role to provide accommodation, the vessel conducts coil tubing operations which is a cost effective technique deployed for well intervention to boost the production output of the well, achieving optimal production throughout the well’s useful life. More importantly, coil tubing can be conducted simultaneous while production is ongoing.

POsH looks forward to supporting the charterers effectively and safely throughout her campaign offshore.

16,000BHP DP2 AHTS, POSH Champion in operation supporting semi-submersible Ocean Apex

ANOTHER MILESTONE IN THE VIETNAMESE MARKET

in December 2014, POsH successfully clinched a project with one of the world’s largest oil

companies, exxon Mobil, which is well-known for its high standards and requirements for operational reliability and safety. a total of four vessels from POsH were deployed to support the jack-up Ocean apex operation in the exxon Mobil Vietnam campaign.

The vessels involved are two 3,200DWT DP2 uT755CD and uT755CDL PsVs, POsH shearwater and POsH Puffin respectively, as well as two 16,000BHP DP2 aHTs, POsH Commander and POsH Champion.

securing exxon Mobil’s contract marks another milestone for POsH in the Vietnamese market. it is not very often that an oil major decides to award the entire marine spread to one single contractor and POsH is indeed very honoured to be given this valuable opportunity by exxon Mobil. Certainly, this campaign would not be made possible if not for the crew’s professionalism and efficiency, reinforced by POsH’s safety policies and training. although the recent oil price slump may present challenges for OsV companies, POsH is fully committed to upholding our long standing reputation for operational excellence and high serviceability.

On the back of this, POsH has further established and strengthened its market presence in the Vietnam offshore by assisting an established local oil company, PetroVietnam exploration and Production (PVeP), with two 8,000BHP DP2 aHTs, POsH Viking and POsH Virtue. POsH Viking is on a firm 12 months job supporting rig, PVD Vi, while POsH Virtue has been with jackup, Trident 16, since september 2014.

On 4 February 2015, POsH successfully completes station keeping and heading control duties of the Goliat FPsO

during her sea trials off ulsan, south Korea. This scope was undertaken by three 16,300BHP DP1 aHTs, namely Terasea eagle, Terasea Osprey and Terasea Hawk.

POsH was awarded a contract to provide three 200TBP tugs to tow the newbuild FPsO from ulsan, south Korea to an offshore location in south Korea. On location, these three tugs maneuvered the FPsO into position and performed heading control duties to keep the FPsO in static position while the sea trials were being conducted. a tow master and marine crew were provided by POsH to ensure the work was completed successfully.

Prior to commencement, POsH committed key project personnel for frequent meetings in south Korea to ensure safety and operational aspects of the project to exceed expectations. Leading up to sail-away, superintendents were on site to ensure proper towing gears were supplied and rigged up to good standards to withstand the rigours of the project.

Measuring 107m in diameter by 75m in height, the Goliat FPsO will be spread moored by 14 lines in three directions.The cylindrical designed FPsO is capable of producing 100,000 barrels of oil per day and storing up to 1,000,000 barrels. it will be the world’s northern-most FPsO, having a position in the Goliat Oil Field in the Barent sea in offshore norway.

POsH Constant goes beyond eni indonesia’s expectation by demonstrating a high standard of operational performance and professionalism while working in offshore Balikpapan, indonesia. since the first quarter of 2015, she has successfully

accomplished four anchor handling operations, two rig moves and pre-lay operations.

it is important to highlight that the performance of such maneuvers require the efforts of not only the crew, but also the entire team at POsH. This successful campaign could not be completed without the sea crew and onshore staff working seamlessly together to deliver our commitment of high operational excellence and safety to our charterer.

Quoting marine contractors, Viking seaTech said, “POSH Constant’s Master and crew are very efficient at the job. They make great efforts to ensure that there are no injuries or incidents throughout the entire operation.”

POSH’S SUCCESSFUL INSTALLATION OF CRANE TUB FOR KEPPEL SINGMARINE PTE LTD

Successful installation of a crane tub for Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd

in january 2015, POsH was contracted by Keppel singmarine Pte Ltd to install a crane tub onto McDermott’s new pipe-laying vessel, DLV2000, using 1,500T lifting crane barge, PWL 1501.

The team was actively involved in early stage discussions and troubleshooting due to the complexity of the rigging operation. any operational failure will lead to an uneven weight distribution, causing the top to warp and the crane cabin to misalign. Thus, our technical experts recommended roller shackles to be utilised to help balance and adjust to the padeyes allocated.

The significant amount of hard work and planning dedicated to installing the crane tub onto DLV2000 by the parties involved was worth the effort.

REPEATED PROJECT WITH DOCKWISE – DISCHARGE OF FJELL CASING FROM MV WHITE MARLIN

1,500T Sheerleg, PW L1501, picking up the first casing from the stern of MV White Marlin

in March 2015, POsH secured another project with Dockwise to store two casings which were on board the White Marlin, a new-built semi-submersible heavy lift transport vessel in the Dockwise fleet. POsH was informed one week ahead of the

arrival of the heavy submersible vessel. Drawing from POsH’s team working experience with Dockwise, PT PaxOcean and POsH worked closely to conduct the entire discharge operation efficiently and safely within daylight hours.

On 2 january 2015, singapore Oil spill Response Centre (sOsRC) started the new

year with an operation to combat 4,500 tonnes of Madura Crude that has been spilled from a collision between an oil tanker and a bulk carrier, 11 nautical miles north east of Pedra Branca, singapore.

With no time wasted, sOsRC deployed our 8,000BHP aHT POsH assistor and oil pollution vessel, salvixen to the scene. The two vessels, equipped with dispersants, oil booms and skimmers, were mobilised with a team of highly experienced oil spill response professionals to the site.

While the oil spill clean-up operation was in progress, POsH was separately engaged by the owners of the oil tanker to transfer the remaining cargo from the damaged tank to a sound tank. With safety as POsH’s top priority, the emergency response team successfully completed the cargo transfer in four days without incident.

On 9 january 2015, both the oil spill clean-up and cargo transfer operations were successfully completed. The team remained at the site during the oil tanker’s ship-to-ship oil transfer operation to render any immediate oil spill response if called upon. after the operation, salvixen remained on standby to deal with any potential residual oil spillage from the tanker.

The entire operation was completed on 25 February 2015 when the tanker was granted access into singapore waters with the assistance from salvixen.

in late 2014, two of POsH’s vessels were chartered to Larsen & Toubro on the West Coast of india at Mumbai High. The 197POB accommodation workboat, POsH Bangka, together with 5,000BHP aHT, Maritime Putra, provided accommodation

support and works for the new MB platform within Panna field, as well as catering services.

as the charter duration fell within the festive season, POsH organised special arrangements for catering, providing food spreads and activities for the both the construction and marine crew onboard to celebrate the festive season. These arrangements were very well received by Larsen & Toubro and the end clients onboard.

a letter of commendation was awarded to POsH from our charterers who were extremely pleased with our thoughtfulness and deep focus on crew welfare.

“Special thanks to all catering crew on board POSH Bangka for arranging the decorations, snacks and music for the occasion of Holi Festival. The arrangements were really superb and it made everyone feel like we are enjoying the festival onshore. The Charterer’s Representative on-board also enjoyed the festival and appreciated the event.” said Larsen & Toubro, thanking POsH for the joyous event.
