Like the rest of the world, agriculture seems like it’s changing faster than ever. That’s true at the career level, it’s true in the metro St. Louis community, and it’s also true in the overall agricultural industry. Helping you keep up with changes in agriculture is one of the biggest benefits of joining the St. Louis AgriBusiness Club. Our group has the resources to help you build a stronger career, and by joining you’re helping build a stronger metro St. Louis agricultural community at the same time.

Joining today is more important than ever for several reasons. At a time when the global population is rapidly increasing, the future demand for agricultural goods and services will be greater than ever. We are more connected today than ever before through the Internet and through increasing global trade. Meanwhile, natural resources such as land suitable for farming, and even water, are under increasing pressure. Ag stakeholders are more involved than ever, sometimes driven more by myth than by fact, often pressuring farmers in ways that threaten the food supply. A unified effort makes a stronger ag community more important than ever. Food production is the most important industry for our survival, and agriculture is a vital contributor to the metro region’s economy.

By working in agriculture you’re making a positive global difference. Joining the St. Louis AgriBusiness Club is a great way to also make a difference in your career and within your community at the same time.

A stronger Club also means a stronger metro ag community. We offer a number of community leadership opportunities, including:

• An educational and networking reception for legislators and their staff that provides a venue for members to discuss agricultural issues and thank these decision makers for supporting the ag industry.

• Community outreach programs to support local agriculture.

• Agriculture in the classroom programs.

• A dynamic forum for the local ag community to work together to protect a positive image for agriculture.
