INTENTIONS OF POPE FRANCIS FOR MARCHEvangelization – Formation in Spiritual Discernment: That the Church may appreciate the urgency of formation in spiritual discernment, both on the personal and communitarian levels.

DEEPEN YOUR PRAYER LIFE FOR LENT:The Divine Office, also known as the Liturgy of

the Hours, is the prayer of the Universal Church. When praying the Liturgy, you are praying with members of the Church throughout the world.

During Lent, the members of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites will be reciting the Evening Liturgy every Thursday evening

beginning February 15th at Queen of All Saints Church. We will begin at 5:00 before 5:30 mass.

All are invited to attend and pray the Divine Office to praise Our Lord and to offer petitions

for your needs and those of your family. Handouts and instructions will be provided. You only need to bring you desire to raise your voice

in prayer to Our Lord.

SUNDAY: 25 MARCH: PALM SUNDAY OF THE PASSION OF THE LORD

Lord, we pray that you will change the hearts of those who lead and influence us, give

them the courage and moral fiber to speak out against and stop the sin of abortion, that America will regain its moral goodness and

set an example for the rest of the world. Let us remember the Father’s admonition in Deuteronomy; “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Choose therefore life, that both thou and they seed may live.”

NECROLOGY:Please remember the souls of these departed Priests, Deacons, Bishops, and other religious who have served our Diocese: Tuesday, March 27: Rev. Patrick L. Regan (+1969) Deacon Tim Borbas (+2015) Wednesday, March 28: Rev. Francis Xavier Bernier (+1960) Friday, March 30: Rev. John Roguet (+1931); Rev. James F. Geraghty (+1990) Saturday, March 31: Rev. Auguste Mathurin Canon Viel (+1958)

DEVOTION OF THE MONTHMARCH ~ MONTH OF ST. JOSEPH

The Church traditionally dedicates the month of March to the special veneration of St. Joseph, whose feast day is March 19th. “He was chosen by the eternal Father as the trustworthy guardian and protector of his greatest treasures, namely, his divine Son and Mary, Joseph’s wife,” says St. Bernardine of Siena. “He carried out this vocation with complete fidelity until at last God called him, saying ‘Good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord.’” Due to St. Joseph’s leadership of the Holy Family, he has been declared the protector and patron of the universal Catholic Church.
