This Addendum forms a part of the Construction Documents and modifies the original bidding documents dated June 7, 2019. The information in this Addendum supersedes any contradictory information or omission set forth in the Contract Documents. Where any component of the Contract Documents is modified or deleted by this Addendum, the unaltered components of that Section, Article, or Drawing shall remain in effect. Acknowledge receipt of this Addendum by inserting its number and date in the Proposal Form. Failure to do so may subject Bidder to disqualification. This Addendum consists of two (2) pages, (1) clarification, owner comments at the pre-bid meeting, six (6) pre-bid question responses, and the pre-bid conference sign-in sheet.

CLARIFICATIONS

1.1 At entrance locations, existing sidewalks to be demolished may be sawcut 4”-6” from storefront sill in

order to prevent possible damage to existing storefront doors. Provide flush condition between new and

existing concrete edges. Existing concrete to remain shall be cleaned by scraping any existing exposed

sealant and power washing.

1.2 SECTION 000213- INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS: Page 3, where item 9 states:

“There are two (2) Deductive Bid Alternates scheduled for this contract.”

Revise to:

“There is one (1) Deductive Bid Alternate scheduled for this contract.”

PERTAINING TO THE DRAWINGS for MT. VERNON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

1.3 SHEET C-501 – “DETAILS”: CONSTRUCTION JOINT detail, DELETE label "21A STONE BASE".

OWNER COMMENTS AT PRE-BID MEETING

1 If a bidder seeks to withdraw a bid, bid withdrawal will need to be substantiated by calculations.

Owner’s attorney will evaluate.

2 Bidder may perform asbestos testing at their own expense. However, the owner will be investigating

for the presence of asbestos in the areas sited on the construction documents. The results of the testing

will be made known after award of bid. Contract price will be adjusted based on alternate pricing

included on Bid Form.

3 Bidders visiting the site before June 17 will need to contact and make arrangements with Anthony

Hinds or Terry Napier prior to the visit.
