TheorbitalflyingcutoffFB16 is theresultofan innovativeprojectthathavebroughtusthesolutionoftheheadwith4bladesinordertoensurecuttingtimesadequatetothelinespeedonlargediameters(over219,0mm.)andthepossibilitytoworkwith2bladesonthesmallersizes.
Themainadvantagesofthissystemare:•useofreduceddiameterTCTbladeswithahighrigidity;•veryrobustconstructionforapreciseandvibration-freecut;•possibilitytocontinuetheproductionevenincaseofbladebreakage,usingtwocoaxialblades;•greatsimplification,reductionandunificationofthecomponentswhichallowstominimizetheneedsfortechnicalassistanceandstockofspareparts;•systemofuniversalclampsusedtocoveralltheprofilestobecuttedandtheircorrespondentdimensions,withminimalsetuptimeandnum-berofclamps.
Theunit is composedby thebase, realisedby two rough-constructednormalizedweldedrectangularbeamswithstrongcrossbeamssupport-inglinearslidingguidesintheuppersidetosupportthecutcarriage.Atoothedrackseatedonthesideofthebaseallowsthecarriagerunningbackandforthbymeansofabrushlessmotor,agearboxandapinion. Attheendofthebasehigh-energyshockabsorberspreventdamagesincaseofuncontrolledrunningoutofthecarriage.
Thecarriagetooiscomposedbyanormalizedweldedandcompletelymachinedstructure,mountedonheavy-dutyandmaintenancefreerollbearings.Itsupportsafixedbevelframeonwhichisboltedasizableaxialball bearingwith external toothed ring supporting apowered turningtable.Ontheturningtablearemountedfourequidistantcuttingheads,separatelyequippedwithavectorialelectricmotorandagearboxdriv-ingthesawblade.

Thecarriagesupportsalsoentranceandexituniversalvices,eachcom-posedbytwocouplesofopposedclampshydraulicallyactuated. Thedrawingofthemachineensuresanefficientshavingevacuationandoptimalaccessibilityformaintenanceandfittingthemachine.
Theperformanceofaflyingcutoffdependsuponalotofelements,forexamplethequalityofthesheetmaterialandtheweldingtype,ofcoursethetypeandthecharacteristicsofthesawblades.
Wearecarryingoutaprofitablepartnershipwiththesawbladeconstruc-torandweareconfidentthatwiththecooperationofthecustomerourmachinecanperformthebestinthisfield.
Indicatively,withthisapproachourflyngcutoffmachinewillbeabletoensureaconstantcuttingspeedof15m/minprocessinga16”diameter–16mmthickpipeoranequivalentsquaresize,whichareatthetopoftheproduction range.Highest speed canobviouslybeperformed cuttinglowersizes,forexample25m/minfora12”diameter–10mmthickpipeor35m/minforan8”diameter–8mmthickpipe. Alsothelifetimeofthesaeblades is influencedbyseveral factors:thetargetofourmachine,ofcourseusingthesawbladesthatwesuggest,is7.000cutsperblade.
Ourengineersareavailabletogiveassistanceinordertodefinetherealperformanceofourmachineincooperationwiththecustomer.
