Most Improved: This award is given to a 6 th , 7 th and 8 th grade student from each team who has exhibited academic improvement from the beginning to the end of the school year in each given subject area. Presidential Award for Educational Excellence: World Language Department: This award recognizes a student who has shown academic success, whose outstanding efforts have enabled him/her to meet the chal- lenging standards of excellence. Principals Choice: This award recognizes students who demonstrate high moti- vation, initiative, integrity, intellectual depth, leadership qualities and/or exceptional judgment. Oliver Award for Academic Excellence: This award recognizes our students who have excelled academically for the first three marking periods. These students maintained an average of 93.0 or higher. Oliver Essentials Award: This award will honor and recognize a student from each 6 th , 7 th , and 8 th grade team who exemplifies the Oliver Essentials: Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be a Learner. Excelsior Society Induction: Students in 7 th grade who have averaged 85% or above for the first three marking peri- ods are eligible for induction into the Excelsior Society. Department Level: Highest Achievement:

This award is given to the 6th, 7th and 8th grade student from each team who has earned the highest GPA in each given subject area.
