• Provides a one-on-one working relationship between your student and a member of the University’s faculty or staff who:

• Are experts in curricular requirements• Work with students to develop an individualized academic plan• Assist students in monitoring their academic plan• Help students gather and navigate information• Refer students to resources• Encourage and empower students

CU’s Academic Advising - Purpose

Split Model

• Students who declare a major are assigned to Faculty Advisors in their department

• Pre-Nursing, Exploring, and first-year Business majors are assigned to professional Academic Advisors in the Center for Academic Advising

• Schedule and attend regular advising appointments

• Utilize advising tools to monitor degree progress

• Develop an understanding of polices, processes and academic requirements

• Utilize campus resources

Faculty/Professional Academic Advisor

• Provide accurate information and assist in academic planning:

Emergency Response Plan

The Emergency Response Plan gives guidance to members of the Carroll University community regarding actions to take in a variety of situations.

Training is done with our plan in table-top exercises and an annual training session with Waukesha Police and Fire Departments.

The document that will be used if the university is faced with an emergency, which provides direction and includes task lists and responsibilities.

In addition to an annual training event with Waukesha Police and Fire, we maintain a close working relationship with the police department and share information of mutual concern. The police regularly patrol areas in and around our campus.
