rightly guided actions. We have had positive feedback
about this class, with many enthusiastic attendees.

Christian Union Visit
A group of Cambridge University students
from the Christian Union led by Stephen
Dimmock paid a visit to Cambridge
Mosque. They had an informal meeting
with Imam Muhammad Amir Karim and
asked many questions regarding the
Muslim faith and practice. They found
their visit a very exciting experience.

Finally after approximately a year of planning we had our open day at Cambridge District HQ
on Perne Road on 12th May 2018. A day of activities was organised with an Obstacle Course, Tile
painting, Lava Lamp making, Treasure Hunt and not to mention Mini-Crossbow making. The open day had been designed to give young beavers a taste of what sort of sessions will take
place but equally for parents to also get a feel and to become actively involved primarily by way
of volunteering; without volunteers there can be no Scout sessions so it is of paramount
importance to get parents involved and not to forget its rewardingly Fun…!
We actively are working our socks off behind
the scenes with County and District to get all
the relevant training and validation off training
so that we are able to open our doors to the
first ever Muslim Scout group in Cambridge.
The plan of action is to roll out the Beaver
colony (age 6-8) in September In Sha ALLAH
and then within a few months depending on
volunteers in place and the relevant training to
role out a Cubs & Scouts (age 8-10 & 10-14)
colony by 2018/2019.
I wish to thank all the volunteers whom have been involved with this project thus far and we
believe it’s a great initiative that many Muslim communities across UK have taken advantage off
and have benefited hugely (as I have witnessed first hand).
There is a lot more information available and a lot more to say about it but this is a brief outline
and if you wish to get involved in volunteering or simply wish your children to get involved
them simply get in touch, this is open for both Girls and Boys.
Kind Regards,
Zahyr

Message from Dr Shaykh Khaladi
Respected brothers and sisters we are going through a very delicate time of the history of Muslim Ummah. Unity and
brotherhood in Ummah has always been required and needed but now it is direly needed to address different critical
issues of Muslim Ummah. When we follow the commands of one God (Allah Subhanahu Taala), one Prophet
(Muhammad(SWS)), One book of guidance(Quran) and one Qibla so why do we not become one voice? Dear brothers
and sisters now we should forget our petty issues and think about the welfare of Muslim Ummah above race, colour
and sects. Allah says:
اب مع الص ه الل

And obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not dispute (with one another) lest you lose courage and your strength depart and be patient. Surely, Allah is with those who are As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.). (8.46)
Let’s be united and stand firm against the different challenges facing to Ummah and raise an effective voice
unanimously to solve the issues. JazakAllah Khairan, Dr.Shykh Khalidi
