ABSTRACT

Cleft lip and palate or labiopalatoschisis is a congenital anomaly formation of lip, gum, and palate where there was a cleft at lip and palate, partially or totally. These anomaly distrub developing process in infant dan usually occur at first trimester of the pragnancy. Genesis labiopalatoschisis ranks ninth of the tenth most frequent congenital anomalies. The purpose of this study is to describe patients at the Center Cleft Lip Cleft, Lip and Palate Aceh in Malahayati Hospital Banda Aceh based on age, sex, place of residence and type of cleft lip. This study is the descriptive study with cross sectional survey on "Patients at Center Cleft Lip, Lip and Palate Aceh Banda Aceh in Malahayati Hospital Period 2014". Samples were taken by total population sampling. The results of this study are the 670 patients, 262 patients (39.1%) with unilateral Labioschizis Incomplate, the largest of age is 0-5 years amounted to 372 patients (55.5%), the most sex is male 456 patients (68.1%) and from Aceh Besar area totaling 116 patients (17.3%). The conclusion of this study is most patients with cleft lip is a type Labioschizis many Unilateral Incomplate, the largest age 0-5 years, the majority of the male, and mostly from Aceh Besar. It is expected to head the Aceh Provincial Health Office to be more proactive in the log every birth with cleft lip treatment that can be done early.
