The standard shutter comes with a naturally anodisedsurface. The protective box, guide profiles and miscel-laneous frame elements are powder coated. Here, you can select from among 4 standard colours:

White aluminium (RAl 9006) Traffic white (RAl 9016) Black brown (RAl 8022) Anthracite (structure coating ~ DB703)

However, our specifically tailored production makes itpossible to have the coating of your choice in practicallyany colour.

TechnologyWiga Star roller shutters generally move via motor. Studio Star roller shutters, with the exception of modelSo, can also be moved manually. Sophisticated motorsystems with reliable technology and high quality specialtubular motors produced in Germany guarantee reliableoperation. electronic and/or mechanical guard equip-ment monitor the roller shutter‘s movement in order toprevent damage in the event of blockage in the shutter. When there is humidity at temperatures around orbelow freezing, it is possible for the shutter‘s closelyjointed profiles to collect ice or freeze due to the lawsof nature. In these cases, your shutter is not ready foruse, or may only be usable to a limited extent. You canlearn more in the operation manual.

our company‘s shutters will always guaran-tee you experience a pleasant atmospherein your winter garden. our intelligent shad-ing systems passed, without exception, thetemperature tests carried out in autumn2009 by the experienced experts at theTesting Centre for Building elements inRosenheim [Prüfzentrum für Bauelemente].The testing process exposed a glass paneto intense radiation for several hours andmeasured how temperature developedbehind the pane. This was designed toemulate the atmosphere in a winter garden.The results collected were highly insightful.If a winter garden has the comfortabletemperature of 20°C and is then exposedto the sun for an entire day - without pro-tection from shutters -, then a swelteringheat of 38°C will develop. on hot summerdays, the temperatures inside a glass struc-ture may even reach significantly higherlevels. That constitutes a rather impressive temperature increase of over 90 per cent.

Schanz shutters impede this unpleasanttemperature increase, delivering a pleasantfeeling of comfort even on hot summer days.For despite direct sunshine over the courseof an entire day, the temperature in a wintergarden with a shutter (full profile) from ourcompany remains an agreeable 22°C. even when every third slat on a Schanz shutter is a light-permeable Select profile(light track), the winter garden stays com-fortable: temperatures only reach 22.5°Cover the course of the day. That representsan increase of only ten percent. The inno-vative Select light tracks allow daylightto enter a room without the atmosphere inside becoming insufferable. Thus, - as scientific testing has demonstra-ted - our intelligent roller shutters protectagainst excessive heat developing in winter gardens as well as in living spaces behind window panes.
