The lovely florals in her collection are from an expansive garden at her mother’s country home. Lori holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She and her family live on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. Lizabeth Higgins has a Fine Arts Degree from Lakeland College as well as an Art Teaching degree from Silver Lake College. She has a true appreciation of the environment particularly with ever-changing skies and weather conditions. “I strive to capture the fleeting moments with a camera.” The series of photos by Lisa Lehmann illustrate the drama of Lake Michigan in the winter months. “My photographs for this exhibit represent the character of the lake’s ever -changing shoreline over a period of seven years.” Lisa has an extensive background in photography, music, poetry, graphic arts, radio and television. Sisters, Lisa Lehmann and Liz Higgins grew up in rural Plymouth. Their father, Jerad, influenced their passion for photography. He taught science, math and photography at Plymouth High School. A graduate of Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, Glenn Thiesenhusen has 25 years experience as a commercial photographer. Glenn and his family value fresh, non-toxic food sources and grow most of their own produce. They have connected with local farmers who raise animals using natural, sustainable and humane processes. Glenn’s images record the beauty of the animals in their environs and raise awareness of the need to change back to smaller, independently run farms. The fifth photographer, Greg VanDeLeest, is self-taught and has been making images for over 20 years. His photographs have appeared in many publications and won numerous awards, including the Grand Prize in the 2008 Wisconsin Trails Photo Contest. “I have tried to capture just some of the beauty and majesty of trees, whether in wide-angle views of an entire forest or close-ups of a single tree or parts of that tree. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

VOLUNTEER AS A DOCENT IN GALLERY 110 NORTH!

A warm welcome to four volunteers who recently joined our Gallery 110 North team of Docents. Our thanks to: Ken Pannier; Lou Schils; Larry Bray; and Amy Huibregtse. If “you” are interested in helping us out a few hours per month, Docent Coordinator, Roberta Krueger would enjoy meeting with you and will provide docent training. Please call Roberta at: (920) 533-8931.

Becoming a Docent is easy and fun! A Docent shares his or her enthusiasm of the visual arts with visitors of all ages. Gallery Docents interact with visitors, answer questions about the exhibits, and are the 'eyes' of the gallery. Additionally, docents encourage visitors to return and sample the rich variety of changing exhibitions and other program-ming we offer.

Docents may choose to volunteer any day from Tuesday through Sunday usually between the hours of Noon to 4:00pm. We ask gallery docents to commit to at least (one) two to three-hour shift a month. Docents are encouraged to attend the guided informative tours at the beginning of each scheduled exhibition.

Plymouth Arts Center Theatre Company will be presenting sketches from “The Carol Burnett” Comedy Show, one of America’s best and funniest variety shows that aired for over 10 years. For this production, Director Kerrylynn Kraemer-Curtiss chose to present 20 of Carol’s original skits including the all-time favorites “Gone with the Breeze,” and “As The Stomach Turns.” Tickets for the four shows: April 10 through April 13, including a matinee, are available now. $10 in advance; $12 at the door. Visa and Mastercard accepted. History of the Carol Burnett Show: In 1967, CBS offered to put Carol Burnett in a weekly comedy series called Here's Agnes. However, Burnett had a stipulation in her ten-year con-tract with CBS that said she had five years from the date The Garry Moore Show ended to "push the button" on hosting thirty one-hour episodes of a music/comedy variety show. As a result, the hour-long Carol Burnett Show was born and debuted in September 1967, garnering 23 Emmy Awards and winning or being nominated for multiple Emmy and Golden Globe Awards every season it was on the air. Its ensemble cast included Tim Conway (who was a guest player until the ninth season,) Harvey Korman, Lyle Waggoner, and the teenaged Vicki

Lawrence, whom Burnett herself discovered and mentored.

A true variety show, The Carol Burnett Show struck a chord with viewers. Among other things, it parodied films (Gone With the Breeze for Gone With the Wind,) television (As the Stomach Turns for the soap opera As the World Turns) and commercials. Musical numbers were also a frequent feature. Burnett and her team struck gold with the original sketch "The Family,” which eventually was spun off into its own television show called Mama's Family, starring Vicki Law-rence. Burnett opened most shows with an impromptu question-and-answer session with the audience, lasting a few minutes, during which she often demonstrated her ability to humor-ously ad lib. On numerous occasions, she obliged when asked to perform her trademark Tar-zan yell. Burnett ended each show by tugging on her left ear, which was a message to her grandmother who raised her. This was done to let her know that she was doing well and that

she loved her.

Our Carol Burnett Show cast includes: Tom Clegg; Dan Mahlendorf; Lorraine Selenski; Mandy Radloff; Renee Wachuta; Tehya Wachuta; Kailei Wachuta; Chris Fontaine; Jardin

Fontaine; and Kerrylynn Kraemer-Curtiss.
