INTRODUCTION TO DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS FOR
ELECTRIC SERVICE
CUSTOMER SERVICE STANDARDS FOR ELECTRIC UTILITIES
LOCAL POWER SYSTEM STABILITY & POWER FLOW ANALYSIS
This course introduces the participants to the basic design and construction standards on electric
facility for various types of customers with particular emphasis on industrial and commercial industries.
This may involve – (1) overhead distribution, (2) underground distribution, (3) overhead sub-transmission,
and (4) substation.
This course discusses the complete set of Customer Service Standards for distribution utilities based
on the Philippine Electrical Code and regulatory requirements to ensure a common approach in design,
execution, performance and quality standard for reliable and safe electric service connection to the
customer.
This course focuses on the study of localized distribution network or microgrid with customer
embedded generators and with particular emphasis on the study of network behavior under steady-state
and disturbance conditions. Where applicable, numerical examples are used to reinforce the course
materials covered. Incorporated in the discussions are inputs from local and international cases.
