learn more about the Engi-neering and Design process. Classes will either create a Zip Line or a Wind-powered Sail Boat. Students will have the opportunity to test their designs to answer the ques-tions: Which boat is the fast-est? Which zip line holds the most weight and provides the fastest , safest ride?

In September, we discovered "Sixth graders are extraordi-nary!" Now, sixth graders are exploring people from history - reading about them and writing in response. Students continue to prepare for middle school and for PARCC by typing, editing, and revising their essays electronically through Google Docs.

Coming Soon: Students will be receiving more PARCC practice for homework. In particular, students will prac-tice informational tasks. This quarter, sixth graders are exploring all the ways some-one can be extraordinary and different.
